Chapter 28

*Bill's POV*

I can't believe I've never made the connection before! It's so obvious it hurts!

"SHOOTING STAR DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS IS?!" Bill grabs Mable by the shoulders and pulls her close to his face.

"Uh, no. I already said that."

"THIS!" Bill says gesturing to the black spots. "Is my brothers magic!"

"Gasp! Wait, you have a brother?"

"Oh my god." Bill mumbles under his breath. "Yes I do. And I believe he is the one who kidnaped Pine tree!"

"How do you know for sure?"

"Because," Bill turns back to the bed, releasing Mable. "He's the only one dumb enough to leave such obvious clues like this." Bill leans down and inspects the spots, poking it , and causing sparkles to fly up in its wake.

"Ooh!" Says Mable. "So what are we gonna do now?"

"We're going to get Dipper back!"

*a few hours later*

"Welp! That took a long time, but we finally figured out how to find Dipper!" Mable says with her hands on her hips and a look of triumph.

"And by we you mean me right? Because I did most of the work."

"Yeah, but I still helped Bill!"

"You literally did nothing but whine and say 'are you done yet?' Over and over again. And none of that is helping the situation." Bill shot Mable an annoyed look.

"Well I'm not good with this kind of stuff!" Bill rolls his eyes then gets back to work on tracking down Dipper.

"So do you think it'll work?"

"Of course, my magic is much more powerful than my brothers."

"Should we get Grunkle Stan and Ford?"

Bill ponders this for a moment, then shakes his head. "No, we just need to find Dipper, grab him when my brother isn't around, then get out of there. You ready?"

"Mhm!" Mabel nods. Bill then transports them to Mindscape.

"Alright now, give me a second to find is energy." Bill turns in a slow circle, then stops, "this way, I think I feel him."

"Then let's hop to it!"
