The days felt weeks. Dave had been waiting to see his love, his life. The boy was able to move a bit more freely. Dave got into his wheel chair and went to see John,"Hi love..." John was waking up. He wasn't supposed to be up.
A nurse came in and put some kind of medicine in his iv.
"What are you doing???" Dave asked, getting mad.
"He has to be asleep. We don't want him to breathe on his own." The nurse said softly.
"So??? I was talking to him.."
"Well, Mr. Strider. I should inform you he is having surgery tonight." The nurse said.
Dave held johns hand and closed his eyes, starting to cry. He wasn't allowed to have his shades on so everyone could see his eyes and he felt like a freak. After sometime of sitting with John he messed with his lip.
He was brought back to his room and once he laid down he felt like he couldn't breathe. Dave flat lined and they found out he had a collapsed lung that prevented him from breathing.
Dave had a long surgery and for the next couple days the two boys would be healing up. Once Dave was allowed to go see him again he went into John's room and stayed in there until he fell asleep. Head on johns lap.
John's days included radiation and surgeries to get that cancer gone so he was sleeping soundly.
The two boys were both now laying in beds sleeping till the next day.
