I woke up to a pounding in my head. Great. Today was going to be a long day. I sat up in bed and thought about what today would bring. The first day of school. How exciting.
I'm Ellie. Or Elizabeth actually. I'm also a bit of a nerd. I'm in the special program for accelerated students. I'm finally a senior now and i have my college career already planned out. I had all my scholarships lined up and I've been accepted into duke for my academic achievements, though I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to afford tuition for very long.
As I got up I felt my long hair brush along my back. I went to my small vanity and started getting ready for the very long day ahead of me. I grabbed an outfit and got dressed before applying make up. I wanted to look good. I wanted Riley to notice me. Riley was my crush, and had been my crush for years. He plays baseball and he's really cute, but he's way out of my league. Well, a girl can hope right? I grabbed my bag and headed down the stairs.
