"So, Kuro, what dragon power do you have?" asks Yun as we walk through the forest.
"I won't tell you until it's necessary."
"Okay, then. I suppose you're not going to show your face, then, either?"
"Not until it's necessary."
"Um...Kuro, it might be necessary, right about now..." Hak points out.
"What do you mean?"
Suddenly, we're surrounded by Fire Clan members. They've been in my village before, so Shiko and I have seen them many times before.
"Let's let Kuro handle this one. If she's strong enough." says Hak.
"Kuro, do you-" starts Kija.
"Yes. I can fight them. You may want to stay farther away, though."
"Um, sure. Is behind this bush okay." asks Yun.
"Fine."
"Who the hell are you?" asks one of the Fire Clan men.
"A dragon."
"A what? She's crazy."
"Am I?"
I slowly unfurl my wings and untie my cloak. I throw it to Hak, but he's too stunned by my huge wings to catch it.
"Why didn't I notice before?" he says to himself.
"Idiot."
Kija and Yun look at me with terror.
Yona's face is unreadable.
"Wh-what is she?! She's not human!"
"I told you Fire Clan idiots. I'm a dragon. Now die."
All I need is one katana for this.
I spring off my legs and fly directly upward, wind clawing at my face like Kija's hand.
I beat my wings, enjoying the strong wind after weeks of being on the ground. I allow one of my katanas to fall to the ground, and as soon as it embeds itself in the earth, I let gravity take over.
I plummet towards the ground, and at the last moment stretch my wings out, landing on the hilt of my katana.
The Fire Clan people look terrified.
With speed faster than any human, I fly in a circle, slicing the throats of thirty four Fire Clan men.
Their screams are more panicked than those of the villagers.
The last Fire Clan warrior thuds to the ground, and I fold my wings, walking back over to retrieve my cloak.
"Kuro there's one behind you!" shouts Yun.
I turn, and my left horn slices through the warrior's neck.
"Hm. That was kind of fun." I say as the warrior drops dead.
"You're pretty strong, Kuro." says Hak, tossing my cloak back to me.
"Of course she is, she's spent a lifetime warding off violent villagers." says Shiko.
"So, is the Fire Clan our enemy or something?" I ask, putting my cloak back on.
"Kind of. We're just basically fighting them to escape and find the next dragon. Thanks for taking care of those ones for us." says Hak.
"No problem. I do fighting every day."
Our new companions look a little cautious as we trudge on.

When it gets dark, Shin-ah uses his eyes to find a nice big cave for us to sleep in.
"Can you breathe fire?" Yun asks.
"Um, no. Sorry about that. I can make a fire, though."
"No, I'll do that, can you sense the green dragon's location?"
"Hmm."
I strain my senses, and I can smell the scent of the ocean. There seems to be people there, too. Probably a port town. The green dragon is moving around very rapidly, as if they can fly, too.
"Hmm." I say again. "Yes, the green one is moving very quickly. There is a port town up ahead, I can smell the sea."
"Nice job. With three dragons, we can easily locate him. If we spread out-" Yun starts.
"No. No spreading out." says Hak.
"But if we want to find the green-"
"We need to stick together. After what happened in Shin-ah's village..." he trails off.
I don't want to asks what happened in Shin-ah's village that made him so protective over the princess.
Shiko and Yona are already asleep.
I can sense the green dragon. Before yesterday, I'd never sensed another dragon before. What have I gotten myself into. What have I gotten Shiko into....
Sometime during the night, Yona grabs her bow, and repeatedly shoots arrows at a tree.
She's a pretty determined girl. Hm. Maybe we should trust her. Just a little bit....
