Okay I decided to change this into a short story that you can finish with your imagination. After this chapter, it's all you. Alright. Thank you for reading and sorry for taking forever... oops?

I couldn't believe it was already the end of no doubt the best day in my whole life. The butterflies in my stomach were freaking out as I anticipated the moment we'd arrive at my house. The starry night was a black hole of mysteries. We sang to the radio playing our favorite song, and I thought about what would happen when we got there. Would we stay in his car for a minute and talk about the night? Maybe we'd get carried away and make out in his car. Could that really happen? Me and a perfect guy like Adam? I didn't realize I had stopped singing and was staring at Adam - who was happily bouncing his head to the beat - until he looked over at me. I blinked and quickly looked away, my cheeks burning.
The car slowed as we neared the resort. This was it. I looked up at Adam, to see that he was already looking at me. I had never seen him look at me the way he was just then. Something told me that he really really liked me. This thought made my insides do a full flip, and I smiled. He probably wasn't sure why I decided to smile suddenly, but I didn't care - I knew I really liked him too. That's when I worked up enough courage to lean in and kiss him. He met me halfway. And we were kissing in his not-so-fancy red car like we were the only people in the whole state of minnesota. His hand came off the wheel and took mine, the other cupping my face. This moment is almost as perfect as a dream I thought.
Suddenly there was a painful jolt, and my eyes shot open, light flooding in and blinding my vision. I was in the moving truck my mother and I had came here in, and it was all of a sudden daytime. Mom was driving and I could tell by the surroundings outside that we were out of town.
"Where...where are we?" I stammered in confusion. I sat up and rubbed my eyes.
"Sorry if I woke you," said Mom, "there was a pothole in the road. We're just arriving."
A sign saying "Welcome to Ely, Minnesota" went by, and some buildings came into view as we drove into town. I saw the gas station, the little stores lining the street, and a cafe.
"Welcome to our new home!" Mom said enthusiastically.
I didn't feel the enthusiasm though. The disappointment of waking up dumped on me like a bucket of ice. I felt numb. And tired. All I wanted to do was go back to sleep and see Adam one last time. Just to say goodbye. Was it all just made up? Everything felt so real.
Mom could tell I was a little down, so we stopped at the nearest eating place - a small cafe - for breakfast.
"You go on inside, I've got to get some more money from the back" she said as we hopped out. When I reached the building, and opened the door to walk in, I ran into a boy with light brown hair and blueish grey eyes. He looked strangely familiar.
"Sorry." I apologized.
"Ha, it's okay. Have we met before?" he asked me.
"I don't know." I said, studying his face more. Something about him made me want to smile.
He held out his hand, "I'm Adam."
