My foot suddenly got stuck on a wire poking out of the ground and I tripped. When I hit the floor on a pile of rocks my left thigh was impaled by a sharp rock. I screamed from the excruciating pain and blood began to rush through my jeans. Daryl took out a few walkers surrounding. I was in so much pain my vision began to blur and I started clenching my leg. Daryl swung his crossbow around his back and put an arm under my knees and an arm under my arms and picked me up. I wrapped my arm around his neck though I don't think it did any good. I could barely move. The sudden movement made my leg begin to throb even worse. Daryl was running as fast as you can when your carrying someone. I looked up to see Daryls worried expression. "Hang on! Hang on you'll be alright, Lucie! I got you!" And with that, I blacked out.

I woke up to a crowd of people in my cell. I couldn't make out the faces at first but after blinking a few times my vision focused. Hershel was at my bedside holding my hand. Behind him was Rick and Lori. Daryl was next to Lori and Carl was staring out the door. No one speaks at first but everyone has a relieved smile appear on their face. It was warming to see this group cared so much. After all I've only been here for a couple weeks. Hey, tough one." Hershel whispers. "Hey" I quietly say back. "Clear the room, give her some space." Hershel demands. Lori squeezes my hand then leaves. Rick and Carl follow her. Daryl stays where he is though I'm not really sure why. I didn't think he cared about me but then again, he did save my life. I don't question it. "What do you remember?" Hershel asks me. "Pretty much everything... After Daryl picked me up, I blacked out. So up until that point." I respond. "You banged up your leg pretty badly. That rock you fell on was sharp but big and made a pretty big gash in your leg. Daryl came in here carrying you looking as scared as a mouse in a cat bed." He added grinning. Daryl scoffed in disagreement but then slightly smiled. I've never seen him smile. It made me feel good. Though I'm not sure why. "I stitched you up and it looks like you'll be fine but you'll probably have to stay in here for a week or two." I responded with a simple fine but I was disappointed. Sean. "Sean!" I blurted trying to stand. "Whoa- no no no." Hershel said Daryl kneeled over as if to stop me from getting up. "Sean, is he-" I was cut off by Daryl. "Your boy's fine. Me and Lori took turns watchin' 'em. He's doing fine- Loris watching home right now." Relieved I laid  back down and sighed in relief. "Turns? How long have I been out?" "2 days" replied Hershel."2 days?! Sean must be worried." "Before Hershel could respond, Daryl volunteered to go get him and to bring him to me. He left in almost a hurry. I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion. Why does Daryl seem to care so much for Sean I thought to myself. After Daryl left the cell, Hershel whispered to me "You know that man had barely left this cell sense you came in here. He stayed for the stitches , and during the night. He may not show it but he cares for ya'. And your boy." I smiled at Hershel and just then Daryl Wales in holding Sean who was unknowingly touching his chin. The sight was an adorable one. It reminded me of Jeremiah with Sean. I smiled a sad smile. After holding Sean for a few minutes I began to feel groggy again. Daryl tool Sean from my arms and Hershel told me "get some sleep. I'll be here when you wake." Hershel reassured me. And moments later, I was asleep.
