Chapter 1

Hey, so have you ever had to save your country from your best friend who's now your enemy? No, I didn't think so,because I have and you haven't. I hope this isn't amusing to you,because it wasn't very amusing. So,should I tell how all this happened,of course,but I'm only going to tell you the basics.
So my name is Auria and I am a runaway and hideaway. Valor, who was my best friend, haves my throne after he killed my parents and blamed me and my brother Nathen, for their deaths. Now he wants 2 important things from me,1 being my "Gifts", and 2 my virginity. There now the air is clear,and you know what's going on.
I have so few followers left,but without them I would be in Valor's clutches. The thing is without Aro, my guardian, then I probably would see things Valor's way. Never mind that,how about getting started.

"Auria, get up." Someone said,shaking me.
"What?" I groaned.
"Aro,hasn't come back." They said.
I sat up and stared at Claire who had just woke me up. She had a scornful look on her face. The thing is one of my "Gifts" is that I could feel some people like Aro,and Valor.
I was on my feet,shoving stuff in my bag, and telling everyone to get up. I could hear several feet coming this way through the first tunnel.
"Through the portal." I hissed at everyone.
"Where to?"Kait asked.
"The forest outside of the castle." I said.
"Why are we going there?" Page asked.
"Why do you think we're going there?" I asked sarcasm dripping from the words.
"To save Aro,but what if he isn't there?" Lynn asked.
"He will be," I said,looking at them," I know Valor and that's the first thing he'd do."
Aro was a big mark for Valor,and Valor would use him to get me.
We slipped through the portal, and landed outside the forest I was so familiar with.
I looked at my friends, Ladies and Lord, all giving up their families and safety for me. Lady Claire Miskheart, Lady Page Redword, Lady Kaitlynn Swen, and Lord Lynnic.
"What do we do now?" Lynn asked.
"We're going to have to get Aro back and free the prisoners." I said.
"How are we going to do that?" Page asked.
"I have a plan,and you know it." I said.
"She means how are we going to get in the castle without raising alarms?" Kait asked.
"The masquerade ball Valor's throwing." I said.
"How do you know he's doing that?" Page asked.
"There's a flyer on that tree over there saying he's going to have a ball every time he captures the murders." I said,smiling.
"Oh." 3 of them said,because Claire never questioned me.
"This is going to be fun." Claire said, laughing.
I laughed even harder when the laughter of 5 friends filled the air.
