I Can't

Chapter 5
Sophia's pov :
"Sophia wake up. " Emily said throwing the covers off of me.

"I don't wanna go." I said.

"Too bad . Come on it's our Junior year of high school. This is our most important year. " She said.

"I don't wanna go." I repeated.

"Too bad. Come on get up!" She said and pushed me off the bed and I landed on the floor .

"Fine I'm up happy?" I asked her.

"Satisfied." She said sarcastically.

(30 minutes later)
We arrived at school 30 minutes later and I got out of the car and we walked into school. Emily and I went to our lockers and then to class. As I was walking to my class I bumped into someone and my books went flying every where. "Omg I'm so sorry. " I said immediately picking up my books.

I stood up and then I realized exactly who it was , "Jax." I said.

"Hey Sophie. " He said with a smile. My heart froze I hadn't seen Jax since our break up .

"Hi." I said shyly.

"Oh here. " He said giving me my book back.

"Thanks. " I said.

"So how was your summer?" He asked me.

"Ugh good. How was yours?" I asked him painfully.

"Good." He said.

We were both silent and in the mist of all the awkwardness the bell rang.

"I gotta go." I said.

Just as I was about to leave he grabbed my hand and said, "Sophie I wanna talk. "

I sighed and came back , "I'm sorry but I can't not now and not ever I'm trying to move on ." I said.

"I still love you." He told me.

I shook my head no and said , "I gotta go." And I left.
