I could sense him sat next to me.
“Elizabeth, please tell what is wrong.” He inquired, placing a comforting hand over mine.
I looked at him. He was quite an attractive man, with dark brown eyes that were almost black, matched with dark hair and a pale complexion. “I do not wish to marry.” I told him.
He closed his eyes and slowly nodded his head as though he understood my situation, “What do you suggest we do?” He asked me in a cold tone, opening his eyes and gazing directly into my own.
“I’ll do anything. Just don’t let me marry!” I begged him.
He nodded again and gave me a serious look, “If you make this deal with me, there is no backing out. Do you understand?”
I nodded and repeated my plea. He walked over to my father’s desk and picked up some parchment and a quill. That was when I made the deal. The deal that changed everything.
