The Beast/Adrian’s POV
Today was the day. The day I took back what was mine. I walked up to the door and knocked as loud as I could. I wanted them to hear me. No. I needed them to hear me. A few minuted later, the door opened. A beautiful young woman stood in the doorway with locks of blonde hair that cascaded down her back. Her dazzling blue eyes watched me, scrutinizing my every move. She had skin that was almost as pale as my own. It was her. I just knew it, then and there. I could feel it.
“Hello, may I help you?” Her angelic voice snapped me out of my reverie. I froze, unsure of what to say. Lost for words, I decided to smile at her instead.
I racked my brain, finally finding something to say, “Hello. My name is Adrian and I have some very important business with your father to attend to.” She sighed and my smile dropped for a second. I managed to revive it before she noticed though.
“Of course. I’ll show you to his study.” She walked me to the study and I couldn’t help but stare at her. She was perfect. Everything about her was just right. There were no flaws. She was my perfect little angel. “Dad, a man called Adrian is here to see you.” After being given her father’s permission, she opened the door wider for me to step through the doorway.
Her father froze. He recognised me and it was plain on his face he knew what I had come for. He sent her a silent plea to leave. I wanted to reach out and grab her arm. To stop her from leaving. But my angel left the room, leaving me with her father. Leaving me without her. Without that intoxicating scent. How much longer would I have to wait?
