THE BEASTS POINT OF VIEW

Waiting. Waiting. That was all I seemed to do. I was waiting for her to be born. There had been others, but none of them had been mine. They all belonged to someone else, I could sense that.

I waited until they entered the house. I stalked up to the door and knocked. It opened and before me was a pale man. He looked both shocked and scared at the same time to see me at his door.

    “Please!” He begged.

I shook my head and motioned for him to move. He did. He knew what I was capable of.

Her scent struck me and I knew it was her. I stared her father down, “When she becomes sixteen years of age, you will hand her over to me. No ifs or buts. If you run, I will find and make you regret it, understand?” He nodded, “You should consider yourself lucky that I am not taking her right now. She is not to know anything about this. Treat her right and raise her fairly. I won’t be in contact until it is time to take her. Good night, Mr Stevens”

He gulped and nodded, too scared to speak. I took one last look at the child.

She was perfect.
