The house was an off white eggshell color, and it was surrounded by bushes that seemed to never be any other color than green. It was two stories tall, and gracefully stretched from one side of the yard to the other.
I watched as Cheyenne threw the hoodie she was wearing over her head and held both of her hands in the front cubby pockets protecting the fireworks with dear life.
She was trotting across the yard just as the privileges turned on. She tripped on her face, "Shit!" She whispered loudly.
She wasn't too far to see the grass steins on her bottom and the dirt and leaf particles in her hair. I quickly looked around the front yard to see if anyone had seen her trip. The coast was clear.
I watched as she opened Gwen's window and looked back to the car. She was grinning so wide, either side of her mouth could tough two different countries. She pulled the biggest firework she had bought out of her pocket and held it up in the air.
It was a large cylinder shaped fire work and you could instantly tell, the girls house was about to be a rainbow. Cheyenne held the lighter up and flicked it to a flame.
My heart was racing until that final moment when she threw the firework in and quickly shut the window. It was about a good five seconds after she had reached the car until the firework exploded.
The window which was shut was soon blown right off the frame and shattered in mid air. In fact, it wasn't just the bedroom window that blew off, it was also the surrounding ones. Just as thought, Gwen's bedroom became a rainbow. All sorts of colors and screams escaped from the cracks and openings of her house.
I watched the colors change from green to blue and purple. Cheyenne leaned back in her seat, "Ahhhhh."
She was in pure pleasure listening to the sounds of Gwen Holden screaming terror. Lights all around the house turned on as her dad darker out of the house with a shot gun firing straight for the car.
Cameron put the petal to the metal, while our heads slammed to the backs of our seats. We were all laughing loudly. I looked into the side mirror to see Cheyenne with her head tilted all the way back and her mouth wide open, while blissful laughs escaped. Then I looked over into the rear view mirror to see Greg staring directly at me.
His eyes told a darker story then he let out. But, for some reason I felt I could trust him. I know Cameron can't, but someone had too because of nobody does then we have no place to stay in Vegas and the police will know where are location is.
"You feel that rush Greg!" I tried to make conversation through the mirror.
"Oh you bet!" He exclaimed with the widest grin in the car.
Cameron side stepped our conversation, "So Cameron? Tell me more about this place in Las Vegas."
There was a bit of silence before he spoke, "Its called the Grande Collision Casino."
We all looked at each other like we had forgotten we were on our way to a casino. I wanted to gamble. I wanted to gamble all the money we had, but of course I couldn't because I felt the need that we would need security.
Of course I'm still going to do it. There's a fat chance that we could get even more money. I want all the money I can get so I never have to worry about finances before I die.
"Brian you okay?" Greg spoke from the backseat with Cheyenne.
"Yeah I think so, why?" He pointed his long beefy fingers towards the center of my face.
I quickly reached to the directed spot with my hands to feel for something suspicious when my hand instantly hit a wet, oozing substance.
The blood was thick and had miniature clots in it. It was a deep red and smelled of metallic substances. I was bleeding so much it looked like I had been hit in the face, but I hadn't.
My head began to get light so I tilted it back. Everyone in the car was talking amongst themselves trying to decide what to do in the situation.
I was beginning to breathe heavy just when I realized something was really wrong with me. I felt so weak all over my body.
I coughed so hard the clot filled blood came up my throat and out of my mouth. I splattered all over my shirt and even on the door of the car. Once I looked up I realized it had gotten on the windshield too.
"Holy shit babe!" Cameron grabbed my chest to push my slumped body back into my seat just when he absent mindlessly drove into the wrong lane.
"Babe!" I yelled for him to move to the right lane, but he thought I was calling for help.
A truck was coming towards us in the distance but everyone's attention was on me because I could barley breathe. I tried to say truck but the words would barley escape.
They finally got the hint as soon as Cameron sharply attempted to get us back into the right lane, flipping us over.
Cars honked as we rolled our way down the highway. Glass inside the car was flying everywhere from the windows exploding. My head slammed on the dashboard from being jerked everywhere.
After one final half turn we came to a complete stop, with the car upside down. I could feel my face covered in blood as I looked around for everyone else.
"Is everyone okay?" I waited for an answer but got no reply.
I waited in the silence but the blood in my body began rushing to my head. I looked around for my seatbelt buckle and clicked it open falling right on top of my head. I could feel the glass being jammed into my scalp.
I crawled my way through the passenger side window, getting cuts from glass everywhere along the way. I brushed my self off and immediately went for my sister.
I kneeled down next to her broken window, "Cheyenne!?" I didn't get an answer, "Cheyenne!?"
I yelled her name so loud I could hear my echo in the sky. This is not happening right now. Everyone is not dying in this god damn crash. I pulled open the backseat door to where Cheyenne was and got back on the ground. I searched hard for her seatbelt and finally found it.
It was jammed back into the seat behind her so I had to kneel in glass to undo it. If I had a dollar for every cut on my body Id have more money than we got robbing Sunshine Rim.
After the seatbelt was undone I caught her fall on the glass and drug her unconscious body out of the car. Then I went for Cameron, who seemed to be already halfway out of the car.
I helped him the rest of the way out. We noticed a small flame on top of the bottom of the car. We both rushed over to Greg to help him out. He was also still unconscious, but not for long.
His eyes began to rapidly blink over and over, "Somebody help me!" He was fighting for his life trying to move.
"I got you!" Cameron said as the entire car was devoured by flames.
