The next few months were more or less just one big blur. I was busy with my obsessive studying for the final exams of my high school career. Most of my time was spent stretched out across my bedroom floor that was littered with books and papers.

I hadn't seen Rosie very much since we were both studying and also because every time I was with her the subject of One Direction would come up and I didn't need Mr. Chocolate Eyes distracting me from the important things.

I walked out of my high school for the very last time, sighing with relief that the last four years of hell were finally ending. I was unlocking my car door when I heard someone calling my name from across the parking lot. I jumped at the unexpected sound and spun around to see Rosie sprinting across the parking lot towards me.

"Ada we did it! We're finally done!" She bounced up and down with glee. I was happy too but I'm a much more reserved soul than she is.

"Yeah it couldn't have come at a better time." I let out a heavy breath and leaned up against my car. It really couldn't have come at a better time, because now I had these unexplained feelings for "what's his face" piling up on top of everything else.

"So are you doing anything tonight to celebrate?" I knew she was about to invite me to a party, an invitation that I would refuse but would eventually end up accepting anyway after she gave me her puppy dog eyes.

"No. I was planning on going home and watching a couple movies. I have work in the morning." I said proudly, foolishly thinking that I had managed to get out of it. How could I have been so naive to think so?

"That's no fun! Listen there's a party tonight at James Muller's house and you're going to come with me." Her tone was so bossy.

"Rosie I really can't. I told you, I have work in the morning which means I need to go to bed early tonight." I argued.

"The party starts at 8. I'll pick you up at 7:30, we'll have a few drinks, dance a little bit, and I'll have you back by 11." She locked her hands together and jumped up and down, like a child begging their mother for a new toy. Then the look I had expected all along. I knew that I was about to cave and I was already mentally kicking myself.

"Well I suppose I could go if we will be home by 11."

"Eeeeeee yes!" Rosie yelled in triumph. How does she always talk me into these things?

At 7:00 I was slipping into a pair of jeans and the dressiest shirt I could find in my closet. I don't do dresses or skirts. I'm a very conservative person. I don't feel comfortable showing off my body, not because I think I'm fat or anything like that. It's just that I don't feel comfortable letting just anyone see every part of my body.

I knew that it was a bad idea to curl my hair since it would flatten within five minutes of walking outside my house, so I pulled it into a loose ponytail. I was trying to steady my unsteady hand in an attempt to make my eye liner look halfway decent when Rosie stormed through my bedroom door, causing me to scribble a line up to my eyebrow. "Shit!" I angrily took out a Q-tip and wiped the black liquid off and started again.

"Sorry. I'm just so excited for this!" Rosie was stunning as usual. She was wearing a tight shimmering blue dress that showed off her perfect curves, chestnut hair curled into perfect ringlets that fell neatly across her chest, makeup looking like it was done by a professional.

"That's not what you're going in is it?" She looked me up and down. Suddenly I felt insecure.

"Well I was planning on it if your majesty approves." I sneered.

"No no no babe. We're going to find something suitable for a party." she said, completely missing my sarcasm.

"I like what I'm wearing." I argued, watching Rosie rip through my closet like a tornado. She ignored me and continued her rampage until she emerged from my closet with a short black dress that I had forgotten I even had.
