"Yes, Colin, I'll get those reports to you as soon as possible." Jade assured the man standing in front of her desk, groaning to herself."Alright, Jade, remember, we have a meeting in 15." Colin reminded Jade, smiling as he walked away from her desk.
Jade muttered profanities to herself as she typed on her keyboard, more than ready to leave. While Jade was working, her phone began to vibrate furiously beside her, making an annoying tapping noise against the hard wood of her desk. She denied the call, not in the mood for distractions from her work. Jade stood from her chair, grumpily walking towards the meeting room, only focused on the clicking of her heels on the floor.

Every time Perrie saw a couple together, it tugged on her heartstrings. She was in physical pain because of Jade, and she was also in pain because of herself. She didn't want to talk to Jade, but that was only hurting her more. Perrie refused to acknowledge the pain she felt from denying Jade, only masking it with hurt smiles and somber glances. Perrie missed Jade more than she missed her old friends and family members she hadn't seen in years. Perrie was honestly in more pain knowing Jade moved on than she was when she couldn't see Jade at all.
Perrie couldn't think of anything to do for the rest of the day, until she remembered she had Leigh and Jesy's phone numbers. She slid her phone from her pocket and dialed Jesy's number first, stopping in the middle of the pavement as she waited for an answer.
"Hello?" Jesy's voice suddenly erupted from the phone, startling Perrie so much that she almost dropped her phone.
"Hey, Jes, you doing anything today? I need something to do." Perrie questioned, still regaining her composure.
"Uh, I don't think I have anything planned today. Did you want to come over to mine or head out somewhere?" Jesy replied.
"Coming over to yours sounds fine. I haven't seen it in a long time, I can't even remember what it looks like!" Perrie exclaimed, now trying to remember where Jesy's flat even was. "Jesy, before you hang up, can I ask a stupid question?"
"Shoot." Jesy replied, chuckling.
"Where is your flat again?"

As Perrie walked up the stairs to reach Jesy's flat, she felt nostalgic. She remembered, for whatever reason, the exact day she went with Jesy to buy this flat. She remembered all of the sleepovers they had, and all the drunken nights. A nice, comforting feeling washed over her, leading her to gradually grow a smile on her otherwise pale, seemingly lifeless face. When she reached out an arm to knock on the door, it suddenly swung open, revealing a very elated Jesy.
"My beautiful Jessica, it's been so long!" Perrie giggled, tossing her arms around Jesy's neck to hug her.
"You little sh--!" Jesy said, cackling. "Don't leave me again. I love you too much to go through that."
"I'm sorry Jes, I still don't know why I died. Let's move on from that, please. What say you and I have a sleepover? Like we did in the first year of uni!" Perrie suggested, brushing off the undesired topic in favor of a new one.
"That sounds great. Do you want to invite Leigh too?" Jesy asked, calculating the amount of food she'd need or if she already had it.
Perrie nodded and smiled, excited to see her old friends again. As she made her way to Jesy's sofa so she could watch some old reruns on the Telly, Jesy phoned Leigh-Anne. Leigh inevitably showed up not even an hour later, her smile as wide as ever.
The first thing Leigh-Anne did was run over to Perrie and wrap her arms around her in a tight embrace.
"Perrie, I thought we lost you... It was so dull without you here. I'm glad you're back. You know we both love you." Leigh said, gesturing towards herself and Jesy as she relaxed on the sofa.
