Chapter 6: Musical heart

It's been about one week since Caitlyn and Darien have been gone. Still everyone seems to have a streak of depression on their faces every now and then. But u try my best to kept them a smile. Today was my little sisters birthday!

Even though at times she can be a brat. I still love her, love to hate them as I see it. We decided to go out and eat at a bar and family restaurant called river town. After sitting down I got my food and dug in and dammmmmmmmm! It was some tasty catfish. Mid way through my meal I had to use the restroom. "I'll be back." I said walking to the bathrooms. "Okay." Said my mother and then counting to talk to my father. As I walk in I quickly go. I hate when people walk in while your peeing it's just creepy!  As I began to wash my hands I heard soft cry. I turn around to see a pair of legs coming from the stall. I also noticed that the voice was more of a female. I know I shouldn't disturb, but that goes against my nature. I softly knock. "Ummm hello? Are you alright?" I questioned. "Huh! Is that a man? What are you doing in the women's bathroom?!" The mysterious lady asked surprised. She sounded like she was in hailing and sniffling a lot. "This is the Men's restroom." I said softly turning to see messy floors and urinals. Yep this is defiantly a men's bathroom. "Oh I'm I'm sorry." She stuttered a tiny bit. "Don't worry no one else is in here you come out." I said softly. I saw the door slowly open. I jut realize this could be a trap for murder! Oh shit what did I do?! She stepped out, she had short blonde air with thick black glasses. She wore an aero purple hoodie along with blue jeans. But she had a bunch of cuts and rips on her clothing. I took another glance to see it was a girl from my school. "Roberta?" I asked. She responded with a small nod. "You must go to Linton." She sighed. I nodded my head as a yes. I heard about her. I always hear these nasty rumors..... But I don't want to believe them, because it's hard to think someone could do those nasty things even if I don't know her. "I'm sorry can you keep this a secret between us?" She bowed and asked. "Ahhhh no need to bow! I'll keep it a secret!" I smiled. I then noticed something fell out of her pocket. "Oh it looks like you dropped this!" I said quickly picking up the....soul gem? It was a pink soul gem, but yet it was tainted and almost fully black. "Why do you have a soul gem?" I asked. "Huh? You know about that stuff?" She asked. "Indeed...... To well." I sighed. "Anyway why is it so black?" I asked. "Well been after a lot of Familiar's lately and no witches, so no grief seed." She said. "Actually." I said pulling out a single grief seed from my pocket. It was Caitlyn's grief seed. I hesitated, but then placed it on her gem. It then turned to a bright and colorful pink. "Oh!! T-thank you very much." She said shocked at my actions. I handed her the gem. "No problem." I smiled. "Okay thank you for helping I'll see you!" She said leaving out the door, but stopping. "What's your name again?" She asked. "I'm Tyler!" I smiled giving her a wave.

After I finished washing up I looked at Caitlyn's grief seed. "Looks like you still help people even after death." I smiled tightly holding the seed and close to my chest. "Why did you have to die?" I silently ask. After that I went out to see my family getting ready to go. "Honey stop flipping out! My cousin gave us a good discount, the least we could do is leave a nice tip." She said giving a stern mom face to him. "Well 10 dollars is to much!" He exclaimed under his breath. After we left the car ride home let each other bicker at another. I just looked out the window.

The next day we got a large amount of snow during 2:00 or eight period. "I wonder what's been with the weather lately?" Asked Atalia sitting next to me with her cello. "Your right... We got no snow in December, but now a random snow storm coming in at January!" I sighed. It's true the weather has been really messed up lately. "Alright everyone focus!" I heard my teacher. say with his German accent.

After class was over me and Atalia began to walk up the hall to class when I noticed Larissa stopping me.  "What's the problem?" I asked. "It's Ethan.... He wasn't here today and I met up with him after the talk with Kyubey." She said softly. "What happen?" I asked. "Well." She said beginning to state her story.
