Chapter 8: Seasons

Today it was very hard to get to school. The snow piled up high and I'm surprised that we didn't get a cancellation. But it seemed we weren't going to do anything, because we lost power for the day. It was language arts and my teacher was allowing us to chat.

I made my way over to Atalia, Clay and Kiera. "What is the cause of this weather?" Asked Atalia as she looked out he window. The snow was flying through the air like a swarm of bees around honey. "I can't believe they let us go to school today! Like I wanna die learning." Sighed Kiera. "Guys I really need to tell you something important." I said looking out the window.

"What is it?" Clay asked. "Okay... So yesterday Roberta called me into the auditorium. "Ohhhhh secret love!" Said Kiera wiggling her eyebrows. "No.... I met her in the bathroom of a restaurant. She was a magical girl about to become a witch." I said. "She was a magical girl?" Asked Atalia. "About to turn into a witch?!" Clay asked surprised. I nodded yes. "Yesterday in the auditorium she said that a powerful witch is coming." I said. "Called Seasons." Said a Kyubey. "Ahh!" Yelled Clay surprised. Everyone turned to us confused. "Though I saw bug AHAHAHAHA." He laughed awkwardly. Everyone returned to their conversation. "Incubator." I said bluntly. "Seasons was a very powerful magical girl. Until she fell into a deep despair. You see each one of her friends had become a witch at the same time. So while battling she used all of her strength. Funny her friends represented a season. The only thing she represented was the sun." Said Kyubey wagging his tail. So then..... She and her friends where all sucked into the witch labyrinth. Making her Seasons. I thought. "So she was like me and the others." Said Kiera looking out the window sadly. "Indeed! As you see this storm is approaching. This is the sign. Seasons has arrived." Said Kyubey jumping onto the desk stretching.

"So then..... We need to defeat it." Said Clay clenching his knuckles making them white. "Indeed." Said Kyubey. "And if we don't?" Asked Kiera. "The entire state of Pennsylvania will be eliminated. Along with the rest of the world depending on the other magical girls and boys." Said Kyubey curling into a ball. "Right then. C'mon clay we have a state to save." Said Kiera sneaking her way out of the class room along with Clay.

Me and Atalia where the only ones left. "So." I said. "I'm going." She said plainly. "What?" I asked, but she was already out of the door. I quickly followed with a Kyubey on my shoulder. "Atalia wait!" I said catching her on the stairwell. "What?!" She asked in a serious voice. "What are you doing?!" I asked as I heard a crack of thunder roll. Wait thunder? But it's snowing. Me and Atalia quickly look out of the window to see it was now pouring rain. "I need to help." She said walking away again. "How? Your not a magical girl!" I said. "Yet!" She yelled back. "What do you mean yet?" I asked.

"Kyubey I would like to make a contract." Said Atalia. "Indeed! What is your wish?" Kyubey asked jumping off my back and in front of Atalia. "Atalia are you crazy?! If you make a wish you know what will happen?! Your soul will be taken away!" I said with ears filling my eyes.

"Yes I understand the consequences! But if simply die without knowing I helped people or my friends. Then that's a death I wouldn't want to live." She smiled making a joke in her serious words. "Kyubey! I wish that I can make the people I worry most for.... To smile!" She said with confidence. " Atalia you have made a contract. You are now a magical girl!" Said Kyubey as his eyes grew wide.

A bright light blinded my eyes. Then Atalia appeared in her magical form. She had a white top hat on. She also had a white suit, but the bottom part was that of wedding dress, but in skirt form. She also had a large cross on her chest with a black gem on it. That must be her soul gem. She finally had black leather gloves and magic wand that musicians use during magical shows.

"Okay let's go!" Said Atalia waving her wand as a portal opened. Before she could entered I grabbed her wrist. "What?" She asked. "These are my friends and my town to. I want to do the bet I can to fight with all of you!" I said with determination in my eyes. Her frown turned into a grin. "Then let's go save them. Together!" She said grabbing my hand pulling me through the portal.
