A loud clap of thunder woke me up and I noticed Erica startle up too. We both looked around nervous for a second before realizing no one was with us and we were being a bit silly.
"Well, time to start prepping for our second attempt on Wayne Manor" I said as I sprang up into the typical superman pose. You know the one where he stands with his legs spread slightly apart, chest puffed out, and hands on hips. She giggled then got a super serious face.
"You'll never rob the Bruce Wayne, billionaire playboy on my watch!" She said while springing up with that look still on her face. She got into a fighting stance and starting hoping side to side. "You're gonna have to get through me first!" She said
"So be it!" I yelled while jumping towards her and I would've got her if I hadn't slipped on the floor and face planted instead. I could her laughing her ass off at me.
"I'm you're still the clumsy one out of us two." She said between laughs, tears were about to start rolling down her cheeks!
"That implies that I stopped being the clumsy one in the first place" I said although it was slightly muffled as I refused to get off the floor until she was done laughing. After a few more minutes he had calmed down enough so I sat up and crossed my legs.
"Ready to start planning then Chloe?" she asked as she wiped her eyes of the tears.
"Let's do this." I said in my best Batman impression. She snickered before trying to get serious but we both couldn't stop smiling.
"Alright so first we need...."
----------------------------------------A few hours later--------------------------------------
By the time we had every detail locked down and cemented in place it was raining pretty hard and water kept getting in my eyes but I had promised myself that I wasn't going away empty handed this time. Erica was standing next to me, calculating how much time it would take for me to get in. We couldn't be sure until we had seen if security was increased or not.
"Judging from the minimal Security, I would bet that he expects you're going to be breaking in again." Erica said, she was starting to look skeptical. "Maybe we shouldn't do this, there are always other houses and-"
"What other house?!? He has the most food and we are close to starving." I snapped at her, mainly out of hunger. "Besides, I- well- Something felt....familiar about him and I need to figure it out." I said.
"I figured as much from last night. No way was he going to give you free food without motive behind it. That's why I'm going with you this time." she said. I turned to tell her no but I saw that stubborn look on her face.
"Fine, but if you get caught I'm not beating anyone up." I said, knowing full well I would kick ass to get her out and she knew it too.
"Of course you won't." she said sarcastically.
"Let's just go." I grumbled. I began sprinting to the house but I'm not the healthiest person to be running and judging from the puffs slightly behind me I knew she wasn't as well. When we got to the house we crept along the outer walls until we found a window cracked open. We both gave each other looks knowing that it was too easy but we were too hungry to care at that point.
"Why do you think he left this window cracked open/" Erica whispered while giving me a boost inside.
"I don't know." I responded/whispered as I lowered myself down then proceeded to help her in.
"Ahem." we hear someone clear their throat behind us and we both freeze before turning around slowly to see a group of people standing there.
"Ummmmmmmmm, this isn't what it looks like?" I tried.
