I pull away, smiling.
"I love you." I whisper.
"I love you too." He smiles.
"So...will you sleep over tonight?"
He takes a deep breath.
"Okay." He whispers. "So how are your parents? How have you guys been after you didn't speak to them for three years?"
"Well I was around them for two weeks and Dad told me I needed to try to move on. I got into a huge fight with them and I haven't spoken to them since."
He nods. "I'll stay the night."
I sigh, kissing him again. "Now let me introduce you to Kathryn and James."
"Okay." He stands up.
The dock starts to rock because it's a floating one.
He pulls me into my feet.
The dock is swaying slightly, and Channing starts to move from side to side.
"Channing!" I yell, swatting at him. "Stop it!"
I see Kathryn smiling on the beach.
He keeps doing it though.
He's rocking it so badly that water is starting to lap up onto the wood.
"Channing!" I snap at him, clinging to him.
He laughs, holding me against his chest until the dock stops rocking. I don't want to let go.
The second the dock stops rocking enough for me to walk, I let go of him and go marching up the dock.
"Hey." He stops me, grabbing my hand. "Your ass is wonderful."
I laugh and continue up the dock.
He follows me. I grab his hand and pull him up to my friends.
"Kathryn, James, this is Channing. Babe, this is Kathryn and James."
He shakes their hands.
Matt hugs Channing.
"Hey, Cam..." Matt takes a deep breath. "I think you should go see Mom and Dad tomorrow."
"No." I say.
"Cam," Kathryn sighs. "You've been upset for a while, and-"
"Guys, I'm not going." I cross my arms.
"Just go." Channing says.
"See? Even he thinks you should go!" James says.
"Well I'm not going." I shrug.
"Yeah you are." Channing says.
"No I'm not. I don't want to. I don't have to." I start to march to the car.
Everyone here normally lets me throw my bitch fits, but Channing never has.
He still doesn't. He grabs my hand.
"They're your parents. They were there for you when you have nowhere to go. They're trying to do what's best for you. My parents told me the same thing and I'm not ignoring them. Just go, Cam. Please?"
I sigh loudly.
"You guys are coming with me." I say.
"Alright, if that'll make you go." Channing shrugs.
"What time is it?" I ask.
"Two fifty seven." Kathryn says.
I pause. "In the morning?"
