Impa heaved a long sigh after walking for what seemed like centuries for her. Silently, she was cursing this castle for being so large and spacious. Then she silently called herself quite stupid for being infuriated at a castle for being large.
She hastily walked into the previous room, where she had met with the Gerudo Leader a few moments prior to now. He was still in there, much to Impa's surprise. Considering he is a Gerudo and long ago his kind hated Hylian's, she honestly did expect him to have fled and caused some sort of trouble around the castle.
Maybe the Gerudo's truly had changed their ways. If Impa was the one accepting their peace proposal to Hyrule, she would have gladly accepted. She wasn't so sure about what Princess Zelda would say once she did meet Ganondorf.
Ganondorf looked up from the wrapped up sword, and plastered a small smile on his face, waving to the nursemaid in the doorway. "Hello."
"Hello, Ganondorf," Impa greeted, walking into the room and sitting down in the chair she sat in before. "Princess Zelda does have the time to speak with you."
The Gerudo's eyes lit up. "Really?"
Impa nodded. "Yes. She did want me to tell you, though, that you only have precious time to speak with her. She is tired and...doesn't really want to put up with anyone right now. Including you. And me, too."
Ganondorf stared at the nursemaid blankly for a moment, before blinking a few times and smiling at her. "Ah, alright. I understand. Being royalty and all must be hard work. I wouldn't know."
"Isn't being the leader of your tribe the same?" Impa asked.
He shook his head. "Actually, no. It varies in many, many ways from Hyrule's royalty, I would think."
Impa nodded, and stood up. She waved her hand up, gesturing for the Gerudo Leader to follow her to Princess Zelda's chambers. "If you would like to meet with her, then please follow me."
Ganondorf was quite comfy in the position he was in on the velvet couch, thus resulting in him groaning and finally getting up after a few seconds of minor procrastinating.
The two made their way out of that room, and Impa led the way to Princess Zelda's chambers.
A nervous aura was emitting from Ganondorf, and Impa could clearly see it by the look on his face and how the sword he was carrying under his left arm was shaking in the slightest way.
She didn't blame him, though. Even she was somewhat scared to speak with Princess Zelda. You never know what the Princess could do. At one moment, she could be somewhat friendly and let you actually speak with her or be in her very presence, but those were rare times. Most of the time, she was vile and coldhearted to the core.
And already from her actions a few moments ago when Impa met with her, the nursemaid could tell that Zelda was in that same vile mood yet again. She actually felt bad for Ganondorf at this moment. Caring for the supposed enemy of Hyrule wasn't something she'd think she'd catch herself doing.
The silence was thick around them. Like a sharp blade with a fine point that could cut even the thickest of things, Ganondorf did cut that silence in two and tried to engage in a small conversation with the Princess's nursemaid.
"What is the Princess like? Is she nice?" Ganondorf asked, in all honesty. He had never heard the rumors of Princess Zelda, therefore he was genuinely curious about her personality and who he'd be dealing with in a few moments from now.
Impa was silent for a few seconds, before facing Ganondorf. "Like most princesses who are kind and caring and want what's best for their kingdom's, Princess Zelda is the exact opposite."
Ganondorf gaped at Impa's words. "Really?"
The snowy-haired woman nodded, her eyes narrowing somewhat. She looked down at the floor, watching her feet move across the fine velvet carpet that inched every single hallway in this castle.
"She's always been somewhat cruel towards everyone since her young days," Impa said. "She's bossy and likes to have things done her way, and her way only, or terrible consequences for not following her orders are followed afterwards. It's terrifying to even be in her presence but...she does have rare moments when she can be nice. Those hardly occur, as I stated before."
Ganondorf made an 'ah' sound, then looked down at the floor as if it was the most interesting thing in the world right now. Impa let out another sigh and looked up from the ground, looking ahead straightly.
Impa's eyes set upon Ganondorf for a moment, gaining his attention silently.
"Don't be afraid of her, though. Looking more vulnerable will make her more devilish," Impa said.
"A-aye," Ganondorf mumbled, and looked back down at the floor.
Now he was somewhat timid of meeting the Princess of Hyrule. He thought about calling this whole thing off and going back to the Gerudo Village, and getting someone with a little more bravery to do this. But then another thought drifted into his mind. All he had to do was give the sword to the Princess, and then be on his way. Right?
Maybe she'd just decline the Gerudo's peace proposal entirely, and he'd have gotten all worked up for nothing.
"We're here," a voice said, belonging to the woman called Impa, snapping Ganondorf out of his traveling thoughts.
Impa looked at a large pure golden door itched with fancy curly designs on it. Ganondorf assumed this was their destination.
Princess Zelda of Hyrule's chambers.

Link sat on his new and fresh bed, running his hands through his messy, dirty blonde hair. He was a wreck at the moment, and couldn't calm down.
Zelda told him to meet him in her workroom tomorrow. There, she said they would discuss their plans for her father's assassination.
He closed his eyes, trying again to calm down his jitters. Breathing in and out didn't seem to work beforehand, so he was just going to lie down for a moment, to rest his eyes and his brain.
The blonde flopped his head onto the pure white pillow, feeling how soft it was against his head. And he actually smiled again today, for the second time, despite how scared and nervous he was right now.
The covers on this bed were soft too, making Link begin to feel sleepy. It was only four o'clock, and he was already tired. From both training and talking to the Princess.
Oh yes, training. Never again would he set foot on those trainee grounds again, or hear his commander shout across the trainee grounds for them to pick up their pace and work harder with their training. He'd never get to just sit down and have calming chats with the friends he made there.
His smile faded in an instance, and he rolled over a bit, to look out the window.
Just like how his mother used to love him and make his favorite cookies for him, how his father was always so proud of him for everything, now his great memories of his days as a trainee were a memory like those, too.
