Yehya's POV
I was trailing behind Fari and Amani ready to leave, when Amani froze in her spot. She was on the phone when she began to stumble until her body made its way to the concrete floor. I stared in shock, confused. What just happened? I began to run towards her as fast as my legs could take me.
"Yehyaa help mee! Amaniii habibti what happened! CALL THE AMBULANCE!", Fari yelled and started to shake her vigorously until i reached them. Amani's face was a ghostly white.
What should I do? Should I pick her up and take her to the hospital or should I wait for an ambulance. Seeing that people began to crowd around the scene, I decided it would be much faster if I were to take her in my car. I have no option but to hold her. I prayed to Allah for forgiveness as it would be not only the first but the second time i touch a non mahram.
I threw the car keys to Fari and told her to open the car door as i picked Amani and started to dash towards the car. I carefully lay her down onto Fari's lap before running to the drivers seat, starting the car and racing to the hospital. I looked into the rear view mirror to see Fari sobbing.
"what happened to her?" i asked.
"i-i do-dont know" she said before bursting into another fit of tears, "but i heard something along the lines of car acc-acciident and h-hos- hospital before she dropped the phone and fainted". I wondered to what could have happened over the phone that caused this state of hers.
I began to recall the events of what happened in the bathroom hall way when she fell and I caught her. She was beautiful, stunning, mesmerizing. Her chocolate brown eyes looked at me with such surprise until she shrieked and jumped up from my arms. I came back to my senses as i lowered my gaze and mumbled Astagfirullah for coming in contact with her. When I witnessed her stumbling, my body moved on its own accord to catch her before she would hurt herself. God forgive me for the sins I have committed.
What are you thinking Yehya? Why are you thinking about her in such a way? knock some sense into this brain of yours.
"da-daaddy!", Amani began to scream before she sat up . Alhamdulilah, she is awake. I noticed she had sweat dripping from all over her face.
"AMANI alhamdulilah ya rab alhamdulilah, you are okay. Habibti what happened to you, you had us worried sick." Fari exclaimed with relief.
"I need to go to the hospital, i need to go now." Amani began to cry hysterically.
"Okay Amani okay we are on our way , now can you pleaaase tell us what happened." Fari begged but Amani was in hysterics, well she was, until Fari slapped her across the face.
"Snap out of it Amani"she ordered. Amani looked up at her and held her hand to her face in surprise.
"Amani are you alright, what was the need for that slap Fariha." I exclaimed becoming slightly defensive. Fari just shrugged and rolled her eyes.
Finally answering, Amani began to explain, "They called, my da-dad he was in a ca-ar crash, they said he might not make it," she managed to get out before she started sobbing into Fari's neck. Fari attempted to calm her down by the time we made it to the hospital. We ran into the hospital and I began to ask about her father and his whereabouts as well as his condition. The lady had said he was in a vital condition and was in surgery up on level 5, she had also said that we could get more information about his state over there. I thanked her before we took the elevator up to his location.
The hallways were of a killing silence as we waited outside his surgery room. The only noise that could be heard were that of Amani's cries. She was a mess. I was worried about her, all this crying could hurt her, her eyes were awfully red and swollen. Her tears transformed to black raindrops, as the mascara stained her face. I felt so helpless, standing doing nothing but staring at Fari trying to comfort her. I then realized that no one informed her mother or Idris so I decided to be the one to break this awful news to them. After doing so, I began to make dua to the most merciful, to the healer and the hearer of dua, "Oh Allah, please help them, please help uncle Bilal survive through this accident, so that he can return back to his family as though nothing had happened."
A nurse came running out of the room, with panic written over her face. This could not mean good news. We ran up to her when Amani began to ask in between breaths,"what.., how is my dad, is he gonna be okay?"
"We don't know, unfortunately he has lost too much blood, if we do not find blood quick enough, he will not make it." This could not be happening.
Amani began to ask what his blood type was, however the nurse pulled a frown. "Unfortunately his blood type is in fact the least common type and it will be extremely hard to find a person to donate in time. His blood type is AB."
Amani fell back into a chair, I presume this indicated that she wasn't his type. That's when I realised that my own type is AB and thanked Allah for everything before I spoke up, "I am an AB". I looked at Amani to see her soft eyes looking at me with tears flowing down faster and heavier than ever. Our gazes locked for a matter of seconds before the nurse spoke up, "Oh my god, that is absolutely amazing, hurry we better get going so that I can begin with the process."
I followed the nurse as she began to walk towards a room. I wasn't going to enjoy this process, i despised needles... in fact they were so much of a phobia, that i think i was going to end up fainting as well...
