After playing with Ruby for the rest of the morning, Sam and I made our way to the fair down near the pier.
Flashing lights surrounded us, as we walked past various carnival rides, with the featured ride being the large fairis wheel. Sam explained how he was dying to take me on the fairis wheel because he hadn't been on one.
Walking past the faris wheel my spin tingled as a flood of memories cane rushing back.
"Daddy, Daddy, lets go on this ride?" I tugged at the pocket of my fathers cargo shorts.
No response was given as he continued to argue and yell at my mum. "You're sleeping with him too are you?" He questioned grabbing onto my mums wrist and sqeezing it.
"Are you serious?" She yelled back.
"Don't speak to me in that tone," he yelled slapping her across the face.
Multiple people walked past without noticing, or they noticed but didn't care.
My mum grabbed my hand and ran towards the fairis wheel. We git on the first available one.
I sat there crying as I watched tears stroll down my broken mother, before looking down to see my father tapping his foot, waiting for us to get off.
The rest of the memory was a blur because it was so traumatising. I only remember waking up sharing my kiddy bed with my grown mother.
"Are you ok? Kayla?" Sam asked.
"Yes, yes I'm fine. What thinks that there is something wrong?" I scrunched my nose.
"You're crying," he informed me.
"Oh, it's nothing. I'm fine. Everything is fine. Let's go on the fairis wheel," I told him shaking off the day-mare(opposite to day dream) I just had.
Standing in the line of the fairis wheel, I hoped that the memories on here with Sam will erase the previous bad memories I had experienced some years ago.
"Please keep your hands and feet within the carriage at all times, and please ensure harnesses are tight and comfortable before the ride continues to circulate," the carnival worker explained.
"Ready for lift off?" I asked seeing the excitement in Sam's eye.
"Always ready," he smiled kissing me on the cheek.
The wheel started to levitate and my legs began to shake, remembering my fear for hights.
"Hold my hand and you'll be fine," Sam said kissing my hand and squeezing it tight.
"Kayla, I know the last few weeks have been a littke rough between us but I just want to let you know, how much and love and treasure our relationship," he said reaching into his pocket.
"So I like to give you this promise bracelet as a token of my appreciation and love for you. Thank you for putting up with me for these short two years, even though it feels like we've been together for a whole life time. I love you Kayla and I never want to live a day without knowing that I will always have you by my side. I promise to faithful to you for my whole life Kayla and some day I want to marry you and build a family with you. But even if none of that happens, I know 100% that you are the girl for me. So thank you Kayla. Thank you for completing me," he concluded, smiling as a tear rolled down my face.
"You are possibly the most sweetest and kindest, person I have even met. I love you so much too and I never want to live without you either. Thank you so much Sam," I smiled kissing him.
By thus stage the ride had ended and we were walking hand in hand towards a flashing basketball game, which displayed many large plush toys.
"Which one would you like?" Sam asked.
"Don't you have to play and win the game first?" I giggled.
"Don't worry babe, I'll win, "he winked as I laughed again.
"Let's see how 'Mr Uncoordinated' goes at this," I smiled, while he ignored my comment and listened to rules of the game.
"Ok, so you have to get three balls in a row to receive a small plush toy and four in a row to get a large one. Got it?" The man running the activity told him.
"Easy," Sam battered.
"Ready, set, go," the man yelled.
The first ball went in easy, which surprised me. The second and third went in convincingly to which secured him winning a smal toy, but Sam was determined to win a big one.
"Heres your last ball sir. Good luck," the man smiled.
The ball left Sams hands in what seemed like slow motion but the motion of his wrists were obviously too hard as the ball bounced of the rim of of the hoop and into the catching net.
"Sorry bud, your girl will have to settle for a small toy," the man said trying to convince us that he was actually said we didn't win.
"No way am I leaving without getting my girl the big teddy she deserves," he gritted his teeth and gave the man anither 10 dollars to play the game again.
After playing the game 5 more times and $50 gone into some carnival junkies pocket, Sam finally won the game.
"Which one would you like Kayla?" He asked.
"The big panda please," I smiled hugging him.
"You heard my lady, the big panda," he demanded huffing and puffing from his intense game.
This boy makes me laugh so much.
After receiving the the panda Sam and I decided to get come Fairy Floss and hot dogs. The Fairy floss was fluffy and pink, almost looking like a perfect pink cloud.
"Do you want to go for a walk alond the beach, Sam?" I ask Sam as I watched him stuff his face with hot dog.
"Sure, I need to walk off this food anyways," I said, feeling his stomach.
I laughed and we both started to walk slowly towards the path along the beach.
After about a mile, of walking and talking, my legs began tired and sore so Sam and I decided to sit down on the sand and watch the sunset like the good old days.
"I love you Sam," I said cuddling into him.
We were now laying down on the sand using my giant stuffed panda as a pillow.
"I love you too Kayla, and I will never stop loving you until the day I die," he smiled kissing my forehead as I sqeezed him tighter.
