"KAYLA WAKE UP!" Sam yells shaking me. "Sam I told you not to wake me up like that," I warn him.

"But today is your birthday."

Oh yeah, I was so tired from last night I forgot what day it was. Today is not just any other ordinary birthday though.

Today is the day I turn the big 'one-eight'. I'm having a party tonight to celebrate. It's going to be great, I've ordered a dj and everything.

It's going to be perfect.

"Good morning beautiful birthday girl," Sam says kissing me on the cheek.

"Thanks babe, and good morning," I smile getting out of bed and slipping on my comfy slippers.

"You have school today," Sam says placing my present on my bed.

"Shit, I forgot. I will never make it in time." I get up rushing around the room.

"Relax I will get you there on time, your breakfast is waiting down stairs and your clothes are all sorted."

"Look in the bag."

"Oh Sam, this is so beautiful."

The bag contained a pair of blue toms, and the same clothes I was wearing when I first meet him.

"I thought you'd like them," Sam smiled. "How did you remember the clothes I was wearing?" I laugh.

"I would never forget the day I met the girl I love," he goes red.

"Aw Sammy you are so cute sometimes," I smile.

"Am I not cute all the time?" He asked looking offended. I laugh and didn't answer he's question. He should know what my answer was going to be.

"Anyways Kay, I'll go down stairs while you get changed."

I get up and grab my hair brush off my dresser. Then begin to brush the tangles out of my disgusting bed hair, getting changed quickly as I make my way down to the kitchen.

"SURPRISE!" Everyone yells as I walk into the room.

Connor, Ricky, Sam, Jc, Trevor and Kian all jump on me and I fall to the ground.

Still hugging me, I ask politely for them to get off me because I was going to be late for school.

"Kayla look how grown up you look, very gorgeous," Connor smiles giving me another hug.

I have seen the other boys quite a few times, but I haven't seen Connor in about a year. He has just been to caught up in youtube work, and meeting I guess.

"Aw thank you Connor I'm glad you could make it for my birthday I really appreciate." I smile giving him another hug.

"Breakfast to go?" My mum calls from the kitchen. "I love you mum, thank you so much," I walk in to give her a kiss. "You're very welcome birthday girl," she smiled passing me a bag of food. "I would need breakfast to go, if I didn't need to go to school," I laugh questioning whether she'd let me stay home. " You have to go to school Kayla, you only have a week left until finals," she frowns. "Oh okay, it was worth a try," I laugh.

The day went so went so fast.

It was quite boring without Nick there. Nick got an early emission to college, 3 months ago and school just hasn't been the same. Why didn't I get in early? I know? Because I'm a dumb ass an not going to college. Well I haven't hit in to any yet. I'm waiting for the call.

My phone rang simultaneously as I thought of the word 'call'. I take it out to see the words 'No caller ID'.

I hesitantly answer the phone with a shaky hi.

"Turn around!" The voice spoke on the end of the phone line.

Should I turn around? It could be a serial killer or something. The voice on the end of the line did seem pretty suss.

I turn around anyways because I was curious. As I turn around, I immediately knew who it was. I was Nick.

"Nick I thought you weren't able to make it for my birthday?" I run almost crying. "I decided that you were more important then my Friday classes," he smiled opening he's arms to hug me. "Nick your the best," I hug him tight. "That's why I'm your best friend," he smiled.

Nick is the type of guy, that had girls falling at he's feet, and guys wishing they were him. But the girls are most definitely disappointed when he turns up to parties with he's man candy latched onto he's muscular arm. Some girls have actually cried when the found out Nick was gay. "The hot ones are always gay," they say. The guys get offended but Nick doesn't care because he's happy and that's all that matters.

"Nick? Can we go and get ice-cream?" I ask smiling.

"Of course, anything for the birthday girl," he winking, turning right into the street, where the ice-cream store is.

I can't wait for my party tonight.
