" Enough is enough" Rylie thought as she packed her bags, tears clouding her vision. The events of the previous night began to unfold from her brain. Her mother had burst through the door, stumbling over her own feet."RYLIE WHERE ARE YOU?!" she screamed. " I'm right here mother" Rylie replied. " GET YOUR NO GOOD ASS IN HERE NOW!" Rylie met her mother in the kitchen. She was four feet away and could smell the alcohol in her mother's breath. " WHY HAVEN'T YOU GOTTEN ANYTHING DONE AROUND HERE?! YOU ARE SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT!" she screamed. Rylie opened her mouth to reply to her mother, but was met with a punch to the face. Holding back tears, Rylie stood back up to face her mother. She was met with punch after punch, and eventually, kick after kick. Rylie begged for her mother to stop, pleading that her torture would end soon. When the blows stopped, her mother stumbled out of the door, got in her car, and disappeared. Rylie's entire body felt like it was on fire; her sides were bruised, her head was throbbing, and she couldn't move. Her mother had been like this ever since her father left them eight years ago. Every Friday night her mother would drink, come home, scream, beat her, and then leave. The scars on Rylie's body were nearly impossible to hide, but the mental scars were far worse. The last thing Rylie remembered from last night was silently crying as the darkness took over.

When she had woken up this morning, she made up her mind: she was going to leave and never come back. Rylie bought an airplane ticket to Columbus and packed her bags. Emerging from her room, she crept down the stairs, and slid out the front door. She threw her bags in the trunk of her car and headed for the airport. She didn't care what happened to her car; it was a piece of crap anyway. It had taken her three years to save up enough money to leave and she planned to rent a car when she got to Columbus. She pulled into the airport parking lot, grabbed her bags, and went inside.

" Flight 336 to Port Columbus, now boarding"

Rylie looked up from her phone and stood in line. She hadn't realized how many people the plane could actually hold. She observed the people in front of her; a young mother and her loud child, an older couple that was holding hands, countless men in business suits, a guy with electric blue hair, and a guy with brown hair, and nice eyes. She boarded the plane and plugged in her headphones. This was going to be a long flight.
