After the night's exciting events, everyone was worn out. Everyone slept easily, everyone except you. You couldn't sleep because you were so worried about school now. In two days, it would be Monday, after all. Skye had been your only friend forever, it seemed. You heard a knock on your door and went to open it. Sans was there. "Couldn't sleep?" You asked, wearily. "Well, I was wondering if what you said earlier was true. I mean, we aren't dating, are we?" He said. You hadn't really though about that. "Well, you haven't asked me out, so, I guess not. We just have to act like it around Skye and her "friends"." You said, blushing a little. "Oh. Well then, Y/N, would you like to go out with me?" He asked, his pupils shining brightly. "I- um, sure! Yes, I would." You answered, a little shocked and blushing a lot. "Oh, really?! Thank you, Y/N!" He whisper-shouted, practically bouncing off the walls. He was kind of like a little kid when he was excited. "Goodnight, Sans." You said. "Oh! Goodnight, Y/N! Thank you!" He ran back to his room on the third floor, above yours. You could hear him saying "Yes!" over and over. It was adorable, really. You smiled and went to sleep.

You woke up early. A small bird was pecking at your window. You rolled out of bed and took a quick shower. You couldn't help but sing, it was natural to you. You found yourself singing a lullaby that Toriel had taught you. It was really peaceful and calming.
(A/N: Play the video now if you want to hear the song.)
You got out of the shower, got dressed, brushed your hair and teeth, and made your bed. You left your room to find everyone outside. "Huh? What's up?" You asked, looking a little worried. "I- um, we k-kind of heard y-you singing and it was r-really pretty, so we, um, kind of, uh..." Alphys trailed off. "Well, we heard you singing, and we thought you sounded great, so we came to listen." Said Undyne. "PLUS, IT IS YOUR BIRTHDAY, Y/N!" Papyrus yelled. "Oh? My birthday? Oh, that's right! I completely forgot!" You said, laughing. Frisk raised one eyebrow. "How did you forget your own birthday?" They signed. "Well, I don't usually celebrate. Skye was always busy, and... well, you know about my parents. So I don't really do much for my birthday." You answered, shrugging. "FEAR NOT, Y/N! WE HAVE PLANNED A DAY FULL OF FUN AND GAMES! I HAVE ALSO MADE YOU SOME OF MY FAMOUS SPAGHETTI!" Papyrus yelled. "Don't worry, Toriel helped." Frisk signed. You smiled. "Thank you all so much! I really appreciate it!" You said. "Come, we have prepared a delicious meal for you." Toriel said, taking your hand. Frisk took your other hand, smiling up at you.

After breakfast, Frisk, who seemed to have planned most of the party, lead you to the courtyard, where there was a table of presents. Your eyes widened. "That's for me?!" You asked, incredulous. "Of course! It's your birthday, after all." Sans said. "Really, you guys didn't have to-" "Y/N, you didn't have to let us live here. You didn't have to cook for us. You didn't have to stand up to your friends for us. You didn't have to pretend we were dating so I wouldn't have to spend my time being flocked by Skye and her annoying friends. But you did. This is just a small token of our appreciation to you. Please, accept it. We would feel horrible if you didn't." Sans said, taking your hand. You looked at them as they all nodded in agreement with Sans' words. "Thank you." You said, looking at them. "There's no need to thank us, Y/N. You're epic. You've been nicer to us than any other human." Undyne said. "Now let's open up these presents!" Frisk signed to you. "Alright. Let's do it!" You said, sitting down with the first present. "Th-that's from Mettaton." Said Alphys. You opened it and found a pair of pink boots inside, alongside a framed photo of Metteton with his autograph on it. "Lovely. Ten out of ten!" You said, laughing. You set the boots back into the box with the picture. Papyrus handed you your next present, from himself. It was a f/c scarf, and, of course, a plate of spaghetti. "Thank you so much, Papyrus! I love them!" You said, trying on the scarf. It matched your outfit perfectly, and complemented your e/c eyes. The next present was from Undyne. Inside was an outfit that looked similar to a suit of armor. "Woah, thanks, Undyne!" You said, placing it back in the box. Sans gave you an amazing new dress. (I'm posting the picture in the next chapter.) From Alphys, there was a pair of deer ears and a cute grey sweatshirt with your favorite band's logo on it. From Frisk, you got a silver locket with intricate designs etched into it. Toriel and Asgore gave you a beautiful headpiece that looked like silver branches weaved in an intricate pattern with small e/c gems around the sides and one in the center at the front and small gold flowers. "Thank you all so much! I love them!" You said, tearing up from their kindness. Frisk hugged you and took your hand. Sans and Papyrus carried your gifts inside. When they returned, Frisk lead you to the cottage by the stream. She signaled for you to wait outside. She disappeared inside. She opened the door a moment later to reveal that the cottage had been redecorated for the occasion. Inside, there was a buffet table for lunch, a round table for everyone to sit, many decorations, and, in one corner, a small box with holes in it. Frisk picked up the box very carefully. They carried it to you and set it into your arms. They signed, "Be careful. You might want to sit down before you open it." You looked at them quizzically before taking a seat. You carefully pulled the lid off. A small
red fox was curled up inside.
(A/N: Sorry guys. It can be whatever pet you want. Also, you can name it whatever, but I'm using a certain name, ok?) You gasped, lifting up the small creature. Toriel moved the box so you could set it down in your lap. It curled up, falling fast asleep. "Well, they must've been tired." You said, laughing softly so you wouldn't wake the fox up. You signed to Frisk, asking who got it for you. They pointed toward Sans. You smiled, looking down at the small fox. It got up, yawned, and hopped off of your lap to sleep in the box it was in. You stood up and hugged Sans tightly. "Thank you so much!" You whispered. "Well, I noticed that you didn't have a pet, so I decided to, ya know, get you one. So you won't be alone at school. Oh, yeah. I also made sure that it would be okay to bring a fox to school, and the school said it was fine to bring pets, as long as you take full responsibility for their actions." He said, a blue tint coming to his face. You smiled, picked up the small box with the fox inside, and said you were going inside to put the fox on your bed to rest. You walked to your house and up to your room. You picked up the fox and realized that there was a small bed inside the box. You pulled it out and set the fox onto its bed. It was really adorable. You walked downstairs, noticed the presents from earlier, took those up to your room as well, and you walked out the back door. You were greeted by Undyne, who had come to look for you after you hadn't returned. "Don't worry, I just carried my presents to my room." You said, walking back with her. You arrived at the cottage, where everyone was waiting for you. "Y/N! There you are, we were getting worried!" Said Toriel, opening the door for you. Undyne explained what happened for you. "IT IS TIME TO EAT YOUR BIRTHDAY LUNCH, Y/N!" Papyrus said. Sans pulled out a chair for you. "Thank you." You said, taking a seat. Frisk sat to your right, next to them was Undyne, who was next to Alphys, who was next to Toriel, who was next to Asgore, who was next to Papyrus, who was next to Sans, who was on your left. You were served multiple plated of spaghetti, butterscotch-cinnamon pie, golden flower tea, cupcakes, and ice cream. After everyone ate, you proceeded to the pavilion, which had a rope hanging from the roof. "Pull the rope." Undyne instructed. You gave the rope a tug. Nothing happened. "Harder!" Undyne yelled. You pulled it with all of your might, causing tons of confetti to fall from the pavilion. As the confetti fell, you caught a glimpse of a certain someone at your gate. You waited until the confetti was done falling, excused yourself, and walked to the front gate. Sure enough, Skye was there with her friends. She had a carton of eggs in her hands, getting ready to throw them at your house. You heard someone say, "I wouldn't do that if I were you." Sans stood at the gate, clearly angry. You walked up, standing next to Sans. "Oh, no! I'm SOOO scared! Not. Might wanna move, you'll get egged too if you don't." Sky said, aiming for your window. Two goat heads appeared next to Sans, their eyes glowing menacingly. "Hm? Didn't hear ya. Can you speak up?" Sans said, mocking them. "Ya know, Sans, I think it sounded like a death wish." Undyne said, spears appearing at her sides. "Skye, wow, fancy seeing you here! Huh, wow. Tables have turned, huh? Remember that time when I saved you from bullies? Remember how you became popular and bullied me? You are not a friend of mine. I could just finish you with two words. But I won't. I'd much rather be the heroine to this tale. But remember darling, I've got friends who could take you down in a second. Aight? So shut up and go." You pointed to their car. Before they left, they tried to throw an egg at you. Sans' left eye started glowing blue and the egg stopped in midair, completely still. Then, it came right back at Skye, hitting her in the face. She got in her car, screaming. You laughed, walking back to the house for dinner.

"Y/N, can I talk to you?" Asked Toriel. "Sure, what is it?" You answered, walking over. "Y/N, I was wondering if maybe you needed one of us to come to school with you or something. I don't want you getting hurt." She said. "Toriel, it's fine. Though, I think Frisk could go with me. They need an education, plus, I'll translate for them and protect them. I'm pretty sure I could get them into all of my classes, they're a smart kid, they could probably understand. I tested them two days ago, they knew most of the material." You answered. "Well, I suppose we could do that. We will need to buy them some school supplies, of course. And Monday is tomorrow." Toriel said. "Don't worry. I have a ton of school supplies Frisk could use. They seem to enjoy learning, anyway." You said, hugging Toriel. You walked away to find Frisk and tell them the news.
