A/N: Don't play the video until I say to.
You sighed, and closed your eyes. You heard footsteps and looked up to see Sans retreating to the waterfall with Frisk on his back. You sat up and waved. There were few trees around the area, so you could see the war continuing from where you were. You lay down, letting the slowly setting sun warm your body. You felt a buzz in your pocket, and grabbed your phone, which, luckily, was in a life-proof case, so it was fine from the water. You looked, and saw that Skye had texted you. You rolled your eyes, but still read it. It said, "I can't believe your still hanging with those monsters! Ugh, and letting them stay with you? Really?" It said more, but you stopped reading and deleted her contacts. You sighed, looking at the phone. You out it down and tears started selling up in your eyes. You cried. You cried until you felt a tug on your sleeve. You looked and saw Frisk. You had forgotten about them. "Are you okay, Y/N?" They signed. "No, not really. My only friend hates monsters, and now she hates me, too. I just don't understand what she has against you!" You said, burying your face in your hands. You felt them hug you, and you looked up. They were all gathered around you. Undyne, Alphys, Papyrus, Sans, Toriel, and Asgore. You where scooped up into a big hug. You smiled, and looked at Frisk. They seemed to be trying very hard to say something. Then they said, "B-but, Y-Y/N..... WE ar-are your frie-friends!" They said, after a long struggle to get the words out. They had trouble speaking. You ran up to them after untangling yourself from the group hug. You picked Frisk up and ran. You splashed through the stream, ran through the old greenhouse, across the koi pond bridge, through the maze, and came to a stop at a marble fountain. You sat down at a marble bench at the fountain and signaled Frisk to do the same. You turned around, and ahead of you was a wide stretch of land. You could see the sun going down and it was the most beautiful sunset you had ever seen. "WOWIE!" You heard Papyrus yell. You looked, and, sure enough, they had followed you. "This is amazing!" Toriel exclaimed. "Thank you,
Y/N." You heard Sans say, sitting next to you. You watched the sunset together, and everything seemed perfect. Until she came.

You heard a knock on your door in the distance. You knew it was your door because you had a huge, brass knocker in the shape of a wolf's head on your door. You knew that sound by heart. Standing up, you picked up Frisk again and headed towards the house. Once inside, Toriel started to make dinner. Everyone had dried off by then. You opened the door, and saw Skye. You sighed and said, "What do you want?" "Y/N, I can't believe you! You deleted my contacts? How could you?!" She said. "Believe me, it was quite easy." You said, glaring. "Still, y-" Skye stopped short. She was staring behind you, and you turned around. Of course, Sans was there. "Oooh, he's cute for a skeleton!" Skye said, making you want to vomit. Here she comes, yelling at you for being mad that she insulted your friends, then she starts crushing on one of them. You walked up to him, and whispered, "It's like the store all over again! Same act?" "Anything to get away from her." He whispered back. You coated your voice in sickly sweet honey. "Oh, you mean Sansy? Sorry, he's my boyfriend. Isn't that right, Sansy~darling?" You chirped, oblivious to the deep shade of navy on his face. "Uh, yeah! Y/N and I couldn't be happier!" He said, trying not to laugh. "W-well then! I didn't like him anyway!" Skye said, stomping away angrily. You looked at Sans, who was just in shock that this had worked twice. "Wow, she has certainly changed. She believed that after literally three days, we're together. Wow." You said, unable to contain the laughter. "Well, Sansy, we should go help Toriel, shouldn't we, darling?" You said, looking pleased when he doubled over in laugher.

After dinner, you helped Frisk clear the table and went up to see Alphys. She was busy making a Mew-Mew Kissy Cutie figurine. You knew that Undyne and Papyrus were practicing making spaghetti, so you knocked on Sans' door. When he opened it, you asked him if he wanted to go on a walk around the grounds with you. "Sure, Y/N!" He seemed eager, which was strange, he typically was a bit of a lazy bones. Okay, more than a bit.
******
Deep into the maze, there was a small pavilion. You ran down the path, dragging Sans with you. "W-wait up! I'm gonna lose my legs if we keep this up!" He said. You looked back, he was literally being dragged. "Heh, sorry." You said, slowing down to let him sit down. "Where are ya takin' me, kiddo?" He said. "First off, I have a name, and I would prefer you call me by it. Second, it's a surprise, plus, we're almost there! Come on!" You said, dragging him to his feet again. You ran off again, but not dragging him this time. You turned around a bit later and saw the problem with this method. You sighed, retracing your steps and found him, looking around. "There you are, you just ran off, I thought you were ditching me!" He yelled, running up to you. "You don't need to yell, I was just excited. So come on!" You said, running off again, but making sure Sans could keep up.
******
You were almost there, just around the bend and- "Y/N! I lost my arm and my leg!" Sans called. "How did you manage to lose your arm and your leg?!" You asked, incredulous. "Well, my arm snagged on a bush, and I kept trying to run, and my foot got stuck, and somehow it fell off." He said, on the ground. "See, stopping to smell the flowers cost you and arm and a leg!" You joked, looking around. He laughed wholeheartedly. "Good one, Y/N!" He called to you. You felt around in the hedges until you felt something grab your hand. You were about to scream, but one look at the skeleton made you stop dead in your tracks. He looked at you, smirking. You walked over and gave him his arm. Even when it was reattached, he continued to hold your hand. You looked around for his leg and found it beside a potted azalea. He hobbled up behind you. "Did you find it?" He asked, sitting down beside you, still not letting go of your hand. "Yeah, here. Let's go!" You said as he reattached his leg and stood up, stretching. Still holding your hand, he walked beside you to the pavilion. "This is it!" You said, gesturing towards the pavilion. "Y/N, not to be rude, but, why are we here?" He asked, looking at you inquisitively. "Do you dance?" You asked, walking him towards the pavilion. He let go of your hand. "Woah, Y/N, are you sure you wanna dance with me? I couldn't dance if my life depended on it." He said, stepping away. "Honestly, Y/N, I have two left feet." He said. You tried to pull him towards the pavilion, but he wouldn't budge. You thought for a second, as a sly smile slowly came across your face. You walked over to the short skeleton and pecked his cheekbone. He was caught off guard by this sudden action and he almost fell over. You laughed evilly, pulling towards the pavilion successfully. "What? Y/N, we don't even have any music to dance to!" He protested. You grinned as you pulled a small music box from your pocket/purse. Setting it down, you wound it up and walked over to Sans.
A/N: Okay, play the video now.
The haunting melody started to play as you waltzed around the pavilion. Sans, surprisingly, was fairly good at this, for the most part. You danced until the music died down and you pocketed the music box. "Y/N..." You heard Sans say. "What?" You turned to see a fangirling robot. "Ooh, I ship it! Y/N, darling, why didn't you tell me you and Sans were together? I've got to tell everyone! Toodles, darling~!" Mettaton said, and before you could stop him, he strutted to the house. You turned to Sans, blushing. His face was a dark blue. You smiled to yourself, and said, "Well, Sansy, we better head back to the house now." His face turned an even darker shade of blue. You laughed. "Y/N, really, we should go. We don't want Mettaton spreading lies." He said. "Alright, let's go." You said, grabbing his hand and running, this time not dragging him.

You arrived at the back door, panting. Frisk came out to greet you, grinning somewhat mischievously. You walked inside, preparing yourself for the bombardment of questions. When nobody said anything, you looked around the room. Nobody was there. Well that explains a lot. Frisk took your left hand; you were still clutching Sans' in the other. Mettaton was in the living room, telling everyone what a cute couple you and Sans made. The room went silent when you walked in. "Ooh, here's the happy couple now!" Mettaton practically screamed, jumping up and down. You looked anything but happy. "Look, we aren't a couple, alright? We just-" You stopped yourself. Skye was there, in your house. "Who let you in?" You growled, trying to keep all of your anger in. "I let myself in." She answered, smirking. You glared, you had forgotten that you gave her a key when you were friends. "So, if you aren't dating, that means he's up for grabs, right?" She said, smiling at him. She made you sick. "How the heck was she my best friend?" You thought to yourself. Before you could stop yourself, your protective side kicked in. "As a matter of a fact, I was going to say that we aren't a couple yet. I was still deciding, but now I've made up my mind. So, sorry. He's taken." You snapped in a voice dripping with hate. "Really? Didn't you say earlier today that you already were dating?" She asked, even though she knew she was already defeated. "Well, yeah. I was leaning towards yes, so I just said that, since we practically were already together. Then I got mad at Sans. Now we're officially together. Get it? Or do I need to say it in a way that your small brain would understand?" You snapped, glaring. Honestly, you were surprised, you were generally a
let-other-people-push-you-around kind of person. "Fine. You win. For now. This isn't the last time you'll see me, Y/N. This isn't over!" She shrieked. "Yes, it is. Get out of my house. Oh, and hand me my spare key. I'd rather not live in a place where I know the likes of you could come and go whenever." You growled. You released Sans' hand, marched over to the door, opened it, and gestured her out. She glared at you, and handed you the keys, grudgingly. "Traitor." She hissed, stomping away. "Good riddance." You grumbled. You sighed and turned to face everyone else. They looked shocked. Recomposing yourself, you said, "Sorry, everyone. You shouldn't have had to see me like that. That doesn't usually happen. You walked over to Frisk. They backed up a little. "Great, now Frisk is scared of me." You thought. "Look, I'm sorry. You guys can leave if you want. Or I'll leave. I don't want you to have to live with someone you're afraid of." You said, looking at your feet. "Y/N, we aren't scared of you. We're just a little shocked that you stood up for us to your best friend. It takes a lot of guts to do that. Guts that most people wouldn't have." Sans said, putting his hand on your shoulder. "YES, Y/N. I AGREE WITH MY LESS AMAZING BROTHER. YOU WERE VERY COURAGEOUS. ALMOST AS COURAGEOUS AS THE GREAT PAPYRUS!" Papyrus yelled. "Y/N, we are very proud of you." Toriel said, hugging you. Frisk hugged you too. So did Alphys. Soon, everyone was hugging you. "Y/N, w-we lo-love you!" Frisk cried, hugging you tighter. "I love you guys too!" You said, tears coming to your eyes.
A/N: Dang, this was hard to write. This was so cheesy. Sorry for this chapter being so long.
