The voices got louder....

Two goat people...
A fish lady...
A dinosaur-looking lady...
And a child.
Looking at all of them, it filled you with a strange feeling...
DETERMINATION.
You gasped for breath and sat up.
Your body was covered with red.
You screamed as you felt an searing pain and fell back.
The goat woman... Toriel... Pressed something into your back and the pain stopped.
The shorter skeleton hugged you tightly,
You sat up.
You saw their mouths move, but you couldn't hear anything.
You shrieked, but heard nothing.
Shakily, you stood up and walked to a window.
You felt a hand on your back.
The skeleton stood beside you, and the others soon joined him.
The small child pulled you into a hug, which the monsters joined quickly.
You felt happy.
You were deaf.
You had been hurt.
You were soaked with blood.
But here, with these people, you felt at home.
You looked at the window's glass and saw your reflection.
In spite of everything, it was still you.
And you were smiling.
