I woke up to a sharp pain in my neck, I sat up and remembered that Dinah and I had a sleepover and she literally kicked me out of the bed in the middle of the night. I rolled my eyes when I see the way she's sleeping peacefully on my bed.

Grabbing my phone I see that it's almost 10 in the morning and I have to be at the library by noon. Ugh we really shouldn't have stayed up until 3 in the morning scrolling through all social media while watching movie after movie and sneaking into my kitchen to get food. To be honest, it was the most fun I have had in so long and it was my first sleepover since elementary school. But now I'm really tired, my neck hurts and I have to be at work in 2 hours and I still have to eat breakfast and take a shower.

When I lift myself off the floor I massage my temples as a dizzy feeling rushes to my head from getting up too fast. I hate when that happens. I go to the bathroom to do my daily morning routine.

When I get out Dinah is face down and still sleeping with her face buried into my pillow and her feet sticking out from the end of my blanket.

I check my phone again and see that its now 10:30. How the heck does she sleep in so late? I'm still surprised at how late I had woken up. No matter how late I go to bed I usually wake up at like 7:30 or 8. It's weird but I'm used to it.

"Dinah," I say quietly. Nothing. No movement no nothing.

I shake her shoulder roughly, "Hey wake up."

A loud groan makes me jump in surprise, expecting her to wake up or sit up she doesn't. She just turns her head away from me and curls up into a ball.

Really??

Is this girl serious right now?

"Dinah wake up!" I say louder and grab the corner of the blanket trying to pull it off. Which doesn't work either.

I huff. "Okay whatever." I give up, grabbing my phone I head downstairs to see if my mom is here on a Saturday.

When I make it downstairs I hear noise coming from our small living room and when I walk in there my mom is sitting on the couch in her scrubs and putting her shoes on while my little sister puts on her light blue coat while watching an episode of Spongebob. My mom notices me and smiles kindly.

"Good morning, mija."

I smile walking toward her and putting a hand on her shoulder, "Good morning mom. You work this morning?"

She sighs and stands. "Yes, unfortunately I work all day until 10 so I'm dropping Sofi off at the Hansen's."

"Dinah's house?"

Nodding she speaks, "Yes her mother offered to watch her while I'm at work since she has the day off."

"That's really nice of her." Dinah's mom is the best I'm still surprised I went so long without meeting Dinah. Crazy.

"Are you going to be tutoring today at the library?" She asks me turning the tv off.

Every weekend since sophomore year I've been helping tutor those who need it in any subject and the grade doesn't matter either. Our high school principal has it set up to where they use the library I work at every Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 3pm. There's three other people I usually do it with but since it's our senior year it's mostly been just me by myself and only like two people come in for 30 minutes. Not much fun.

I shrug my shoulders, "I don't know I don't really feel like it."

"Mija," she sighed. "Volunteering looks great on a college application and you know why."
