We Need to Talk

Your POV

Dean was gone for sometime, but you didn't notice till Charlie had to leave. So she left you and Cas alone snuggling on the couch. Yeah, after Charlie left she said to have some space between you two just in case Dean came with Sam and Sam wasn't fully ok with the fact that you're dating an angel who was his best friend.

But after 30 minutes after Charlie everything was silent and awkward. So you made it less awkward by going next to Cas and laying on his chest, you had your eyes close and your arms around his waist when you heard the bunker door open. You got off of Cas and sat next to him, he looked at you and you looked at him. You smiled at him which made him calm down a little. 

When Sam and Dean sat in front of you and Cas everything was silent and everything was awkward. You didn't know what to really do so you started playing with your fingers, a terrible habit you had when ever you were nervous. 

"So you guys been dating for more then a day then?" You look at Sam, and he was already looking at you. "Yeah...For a couple of months now..." You say quietly, but loud enough for everyone in the room to hear. Dean has been quite for some time now, which was making yo nervous. You thought he would be on your side since he kept the secret for so long.

Sam nods, and he looks away from you. He seemed mad now, which made you scared a little. Yes, you shouldn't be scared of Sam since he was your dad, but he hasn't been in your life until the day you needed him. Plus, that day when he showed his soft/mad side it was pretty scary, something you didn't want to see today. 

"(y/n) can I talk to you alone?" You nod and get up to follow Sam. Cas looked at you before you exited the room and you two shared a smile, not for his sake, but for yours because you were as nervous as anything. 

When you and Sam were alone he looks at you. "(y/n)...Remember the first day you came how I said I was going to protect you..." You smile a little and nod. You remember that day like if it was yesterday. It was a day you never wanted to forget, because that was the day you met Sam, Dean, and Castiel. 

"Well I want to keep you safe, and I'm just worried that Cas is going to hurt you one day-"  

"But he hasn't hurt me yet...and I trust him!" 

Sam nods. "Yeah, I could see that you trust him with your life, but I don't want yo getting hurt when he starts doing things he did in the past. Cas did some things I could never forget, and I don't want one of those things being to hurt you. You're my baby girl, my only one..."

You look away from Sam, the wall across from Sam has become very interesting now. "I know dad...But it's just like when you fell in love with mom. She would tell me how it felt every single day, but what she would never tell me is who you really were. But now that I know I also know that if you love someone, you would do anything risky to be with them."

Sam smiles a little. "That's true...I did stay behind with her, when Dean went to the next state over to do a hunt there." You smile. "So are you alright with me and Cas being together?" You stare at Sam looking for any expression on his face, but he was hard to read.

He sighs. "If Cas makes you happy (y/n), then you could stay with him. But nothing serious! And I mean it I don't want to have grand children so soon!"

You laugh and hug him. He carries you a little. "I know I have to take the chances to let you grow up, but you would always be my little girl..." He whispers in your ear. "I know dad...I know.."

When Sam put you down you walk with him back to where Cas and Dean were. "Soo Sammy?" Sam stares at you, then Dean, then Cas. "Castiel, if you hurt her in any way, then you better hope that angel blade can keep you safe from me..." 

Cas smiles, and you smile. You could see that his wings were spread out, that only happen when he was happy, so your guess was that he was happy Sam was ok with you dating him. "Thank you Sam, and I'll protect her with my life."

Sam nods. Dean smiles. "That's great Sam! Oh and (y/n) where did Charlie go?" 

"She went home.." But if you excused me I'm going to go call her and tell her the news! Thanks dad, bye Dean and Cas." Sam chuckles a little as he sees you run happily to your bedroom.

As the 3rd ring comes Charlie finally answers. Well, the 5th call and the 3rd ring. "Gosh Red. You busy or something, it never takes you this long to answer..." She laughs on the other end of the phone. "Well (y/n), if you are sleeping and having a good nice dream, then you don't really want to answer the phone. But with you being you I answered so you could stop calling me..."

You laugh. "Ok...ok...I'm sorry I woke you up from your good ass dream, like you say, but I have some important news I wanted you to know about!" She waits, and well waits. And you wait for an answer if she wants to hear them, something you always waited for no matter who it was. 

"Ok then, whats the news (nickname)" You smile to yourself. "Well when Sam came back from wherever he was, me and him talked, and well he said it was ok that I was dating Cas as long as I was happy with it!"

She acts like a little kid on the phone. "Oh gosh (y/n)! Congrats, I'm so happy for you. Finally you don't have to keep it a secret anymore..."

You laugh. "Yeah, but then he said something I thought he wouldn't of said..."  

She laughs a little, "(y/n) what did he say..." 

You decided in your head that you should tell her because you can't keep a project undone. "Well he told me to take it easy and slow....because he doesn't want grand children so soon.."

After you said that Charlie was a laughing mess. "Alright Red, I see that you won't stop laughing now...So I'm just going to hang up..Bye."

You hear a small bye from her before you hang up and laugh to yourself and shake your head a little. Then you feel arms go around your waist and you start to have a little panic attack since you didn't know who it was. 

"What was she laughing about?" You calm down as you realized it's Cas and smile. "Oh nothing just Charlie being Charlie and laughing at her own jokes..." Cas smiles and puts his head in between your neck. You could see his black wings around you like it was protecting you, and close your eyes. 

"I like moments like this..."

"Me too..." He says. You yawn a little and you eyes start to get sleepily. "You should get some sleep..."

"Can you lay with me..."

He makes a yes sound and leads you to your bed. There you lay down and snuggle in Cas's chest. Before you finally fall asleep you feel Cas kiss your lips softly, and you see his wings around you. 

"I love you Cassie..."

Cas smiles at the nickname. "Love you two (y/n)...''
