Annabeth POV
We have been searching for months, I don't think we're going to find Nico. I'm not giving up just yet, but it's unfortunately unlikely that were going to see him again. Me and Percy are a wreck. Nico, believe it or not, was like a child to us. Each week we go to a different school and look for Nico there, but we just don't seem to have any luck. Today me and Percy are going to some New Orleans school, once we get there I see a homosexual couple holding hands and smiling and waving. I can only see their backs, but it looks like they are popular, and one of them looks JUST like Nico, but he is wearing a dark green shirt and and nicely fitted light jeans, and Nico wouldn't wear that, and besides, the boy is waving, and probably has a huge grin on his face, and I'm pretty sure that Nico was depressed when he left, so he just can't be Nico. In math, the two boys are there, and I watch them closely, but I still can't see their faces. "Um, just a reminder, those boys are definitely together, and are practically inseparable, if you like one of them, I'd try extinguish my thoughts for them immediately" said a voice next to me. I looked over and saw a girl sitting in a wheelchair. "My name's Violet" she announced quietly as she shook my hand. "I'm a friend of Nico's, but then again, everybody is." She added kindly. "Who's Nico?" I asked frantically. She giggled, "the one you were staring at, silly. Nico di Angelo. He's the most popular, friendliest person in the whole school!" I wouldn't have believed her, except that he turned his head at that moment and I saw that it really was Nico. After all these months, I found him. I first notified the gods and the other fifteen that I had found him, then waited as the next classes went by agonisingly slowly. Finally, it was time for lunch, and I spotted him. Most people wanted to sit with him, and I knew that I wouldn't be able to, so I sat next to Percy at the end of the cafeteria. Surprisingly, a lot of people noticed that me and Percy were sitting alone, and got up to join us. Nico was about to, when he realised who we were, made an excuse to the people sitting around him, grabbed his boyfriend's
Hand, and bolted from the cafeteria, me and my seaweed brain hot on their trail.
