Shist. Shist. Shist. Why?!? I was having a good life! I finally had a boyfriend, a nice school, friends! Was all I could think, as I bolted through the halls, Anubis barley able to keep up. "Oh no." A dead end! Why?!?
Hades's POV
I sat on my throne, head in my hands, as I searched for Nico, over and over. Beep! Beep! "Huh?" I snapped my head up. The device! The one Leo made for us to contact each other! Annabeth had found him! I shadow traveled to the spot, invisible, watching. My son looks happy. I look at his recent memories, trying to find out what happened. I smile. I, Hades, smile. Look what it took, Nico. The first child of mine truly happy. I'm jolted to the present as I hear yelling. I can't let this happen, but I'm too late. Nico is their hostage now. I look at his boyfriend, curious as to why he looks familiar, when it clicks. Nico is dating Anubis, the Egyptian God. I smirk, a son of mine attracting a God, eh? I'm proud. I make myself visible to the poor young God as I kneel next to him. "They're headed to the empire state building." I whisper, then melt into the shadows.
Nico's POV
Argh! I was tied up in the back seat of a car, Annabeth driving, her teeth gritted, not saying a word."What the Hades! I was happy! I had a boyfriend! And friends!" That seemed to hit Percy hard. "What was so special about them?!? They're just some mortals you'll have to get over soon!" He spat. I am shocked at his rudeness, I guess he's changed in the few months I've been away. "First of all, they took me in when I most needed it, they comforted me without asking anything, they didn't know what my name was and they were encouraging me! Anubis, my boyfriend, he's not a mortal, he's a God! And he is the most empathetic, kindest, gentlest person I've even met! I love him! You can't take me away! You can't!" I said, breathing hard." I'm going back there, you can't stop me!" I yelled, and with that, I shadow traveled to wherever Anubis was.
