I've been tagged by @annagamergirl9 to write about something you think is important. So that's what I'm gonna do! Then I'm going to tag people at the end to do it themselves. I'll probably delete these non-story chapters eventually because they get in the way, but without further ado, let's get into it!

I am going to talk about anxiety. Before I go on, there might be possible triggers, so I'm just posting a warning for the safety of you guys out there.

Now, back onto the topic. I think that people these days don't take anxiety as seriously as they should. Most of the time, they think that people are 'faking'. How could you fake something as brutal as this?

I don't think I've had any anxiety attacks, unless you consider the times where spiders come into view *shudders*, but I definitely know people who have. People very dear to me as well.

For identity reasons, I won't be saying any one particular person, so I'll just stick with the plural to make everything easier.

Let me just tell you; Anxiety is serious. If you see someone having a panic attack in the corner, be a friend and help a bro out. Or sis, or whatever you wanna call them. I'm just saying that nobody should ever be alone in these situations.

anxiety
aŋˈzʌɪəti/
noun
noun: anxiety; plural noun: anxieties

a nervous disorder marked by excessive uneasiness and apprehension, typically with compulsive behaviour or panic attacks.

In case you're wondering, ⬆️.

I've been in a few situations where I would need to help someone out because of this issue. It's hard for me to do something like this because I've never been given the opportunity to in earlier years of my life. It's difficult for me to relate as well, which adds onto the former reason.

But I still try anyway.
I try, because someone else is in need.
I try, because someone else doesn't know what to do.
I try, because I want to do something that makes somebody happy.

If I don't succeed, I just try again. And again. And again. I'll just keep trying until I find something which doesn't make them worse. Until I find something which makes someone happy.

Anxiety is something which needs to be addressed. You can't just pull them away from whatever it is–say a loud noise–, give them a bottle of water and go back to whatever it is you're doing. You pull them away from anything which would make it worse, you sit them down next to you, you give them some water, but you stay with them. You comfort them and you tell them it's going to be okay.

Because in the end, everything will be okay. You just have to help these people to make it happen.

Yes, it sounds like I'm categorising people. No, it is not my intent. Identity reasons, remember.

If you know somebody who has anxiety, help them when they're in need. Give them a shoulder to cry on, because that's what they need. Give them really bad jokes to laugh at, or awkward moments to relate to.

And for everybody who is reading this and has anxiety, you are not alone. There are people who are there for you. People who have been in the exact same situations as you, so don't feel even worse because you think you're the odd one out.

Because you're not. I'm here for you, there are others here for you. Don't face this alone, but I can tell you that everything gets better, no matter how hard it is now, it will get better. You just need to bulldoze your way through the bad days and savour every last minute of the good ones. If you need to talk to anybody, I will try my hardest to comfort you, no matter how little I know you. But you also need to believe in yourself, because I know you can do great things.

Completely unedited and soppy and nobody will think that this will help in any way whatsoever, but I tried and then that sort of, happened. Anyway, here are the tagged people:
