Finding Love In A Unorthodox Way

Chapter 3

"Why don't you sign up for a dating website It could be a good thing. I heard that it's a new way to find your mate kk". Hales said through the phone.

"WHAT Hales have you lost your MIMD! First I'm abstaining from the dating world. Second there are nothing but Creeps and perverted men on there. Lastly, I'm NOT or EVER will be desperate enough to do such a thing. I said with a shocked tone."

"Ok I was just trying to help. I'm sorry for proposing such a thing." Hales said.

"Don't mention it Hales. I have to go. I'm about to go to Planet Fitness to sign up for a membership. They even have a yoga class where I can clear my mind after a grueling  workout. I'll be seeing Trina the therapist you recommend tomorrow."

"Kk! Why didn't you tell me you were going to start working out we both were suppose to do that together! Hales yelled."

Hales I told you your body is amazing. I also know you have a lot going on since the promotion. I have to do this on my own. You're always here for me. I'll never think otherwise. Now I have to go before they close."

Even though the place was open 24/7, I needed an excuse to get off the phone with Hales. I was not in the mood for one of her long  lectures.

After a little more convincing hales finally agreed and we ended our conversation.

"Hello Miss. How can I help you?"

I looked and smiled at the 6'4 Carmel man with a huge smile showing his pearly whites. He looks more like a trainer with how buff he is. Sensing my confusion he laughed and said.

"I'm the manager and am short staffed at the moment. So I have to fill in for my receptionist. I was a trainer however, I was hurt in a accident and can't do everything that's required of one."

I gave him a sympathy smile and looked at his name tag and read the name Miles.

"Hello Miles I'm Kayla I have NEVER worked out in my life. I want to stop being a fat slob and lose this weight. I'm here to sign up for your best membership."

You shouldn't be so hard on yourself. At Planet fitness we don't use words like that. No one here judges you. We are all here to live a healthier and happy life. Now as far as our best membership it would be this one."

He gave me a paper to read over. This membership was only twenty dollars a month and It came with a trainer, yoga instructor, and massage room. The only stabilization was that I had to commit a year. After reading over everything I decided on signing up for that membership.

Miles told me everything about the contract and thirty minutes later I was with my trainer Troy doing crunches.

"Just twenty more Kayla you got this I believe in you come on." Troy said with his deep voice."

Sweat beating down my face like rain, and my heavy breathing told me just how out of shape I was. I was read to give up and go order me a pepperoni pizza, a Pepsi and watch the old episodes of Maury I recorded. That was until a image of Sabrina and Shawn popped in my head. More determined then ever I did my second set of twenty crunches in less then a minute. Then we worked on arms. After a hour and half of working out. Troy told me our session was up. He didn't want me to over exert myself.

After promising to be back for our scheduled session tomorrow I made my way home. I cleaned my refrigerator out of unhealthy food. In place were now stuff to make salads and lean meals. I purchased my new meals before heading home from the gym.

Forty minutes later after showering and eating a salad and a piece of baked fish I was in bed watching the Bachelor. I turned the tv off after finding out my favorite girl was eliminated. Seeing that it was ten a.m. Time for bed I have to get up in the morning and head to the gym after work.

Work has been going fantastic and so has the gym. I already lost thirty five pounds! These past six months have been really good. Trina was a god sent. I've been dealing with my emotional issues and I only had fifteen more pounds to lose!! My body was more curvy than big bonded. I also was getting so many stares from guys that I NEVER have gotten.

"Kk you're a hottie. I always knew but you have confidence now." Hales said

I was over hers and Matt's place helping her pick out a outfit for her and Matt's date tonight. He told her to dress in her fancy clothes. So she called me over to help and chat.

"Thank you Hales I'm just happy with life right now. I am a better me. I might start dating again." I said

"You better girl with your new body guys will fall to their knees for a date with you." Hales said

"Yeah I know but I want a guy that wants me for my personality not my looks Hales." I responded

"I know darling now help me pick out a outfit that will knock the breath out of Matt." Hales said with a wide smile.

Two hours later Haley hehe she doesn't like when I called her that, was dressed and ready for Matt to come pick her up. She looked so beautiful in her white lace dress that stopped just about her knees, her white Louboutin sic inch heels, red lip stick, and her flowy blonde  curls down her back.
I was thinking of the irony of her in a white dress. I was the only one besides Matt who knew he was going to propose today. I'm so happy for them. They are a strong couple. I aspire to have that one day. Looking at the time it was seven fifty fiveMatt Should be here any minute now. Right as I said that there was knock at the door. Hales asked if I could get it since she needed to grab her purse and house keys. I smiled and agreed.

Upon opening the door I saw a clean looking Matt. He wore a expensive black suit, a red tie, and a nervous smile. I gave him a reassured smiles.

"Ready to make an honest woman out of my bestie?" I said to him.

"I have never been so ready for anything else in my life. I'm so inlove with her it was like she was molded just for me. I feel so honored that I get to have my earth angel by my side. Hopefully for the rest of my life." Matt replied.

I wiped the tears from my eyes, hugged Matt, and went to my car. Not before yelling to Hales that Matt was here and I will talk to her tomorrow.

As I cranked my car up I looked out my windown and saw how attentive Matt was when it came to Hales. They are so perfect for each other a real love story. I gave a wave to the couple as they caught me starring. Then I drove off into the streets making my way home.
