Finding Love In A Unorthodox Way

Chapter 4

"What's wrong with being, what's wrong with being
What's wrong with being confident?" Blasted through my speakers this early Saturday morning, my day off!! As I ran on my new treadmill. In my newly decorated guest bedroom.

Yes you read right. After coming home Friday night  from helping Hales, I decided I needed to go into the room that tormented me. The room where my Ex decided to screw the neighborhood tramp! I went through the room like a tornado, and threw everything in the garage that was located outside my apartment. I cleaned like a mad woman afterwards. Next, I decided to transfer my treadmill from the living room, to the exercise room. Formerly known as the guest room. It was then that I felt at peace and knew I could move on. It also helps that Sabrina moved away a few days after the incident. I'm not sure where nor do I care. I heard she and Shawn were living together. I couldn't help but laugh, they're probably cheating on each other everyday of the week.

I was quickly shaken from my thoughts as I heard my cellphone ring. I turned the treadmill off. Then proceeded to walk over to the desk I also put in here, and answerd the call. Not before checking the time. I seen that it's nine o clock a.m. I've been on the treadmill for an hour. Per Troy's instructions. We cut our sessions down to two days a week, and the other days I was told to do exercises at home.

As I hit the answer key on my cellphone I heard:

"KK I'M GETTING MARRIED MATT PROPOSED LAST NIGHT AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" Screamed Hales.

I had to move the phone directly out of earshot geesh Hales. This girl was going to cause hearing damage if she yelled in my ear like that again.

"I'm so HAPPY for you Hales. You and Matt are going to make a beautiful married couple! I can't wait for your big day!! I better be a bridesmaid."

Hales always dreamt about  her big day since we were kids. She already had her big day planned. According to her all she needed was the perfect groom to set the plan in motion.

"BRIDESMAID KK ARE YOU CRAZY! YOUR GOING TO BE MY MAID OF HONOR! Your my sister. We might not have the same parents but I love you like a sister." Hales yelled in the beginning, by the end she thankfully calmed down with the loudness.

"What about Kelly, Callie, or Courtney? Would they be angry since they are your biological sisters." I replied.

Hales had three older sisters Kelly the oldest at twenty-five, Callie the second oldest twenty- four, and Courtney the third oldest, twenty three years old. They all looked just alike you would think they were triplets.

"They won't mind Kk don't worry about them. Afterall it's my day not there's. I can do what I want." Hales said.

"Ok I'm more then happy to be your maid of honor and will do my duties as one."

"THANK YOU KK YOUR THE BEST. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. I'm coming over after work today. I have to call my mom and tell her the big NEWS! See you later doll!" With that said hales hung up.

I put my cellphone down. Not before shaking my head and smiling. You gotta love her weird self haha. 

I spent the rest of the morning doing crunches, squats, and running my daily five miles.

Ding Dong, Ding Dong, Ding Dong, Ding Dong. I was in the mist of finishing up making Hales and I some lunch. Consisting of two fruit salads and two glasses of water.

I went and answerd the door. Only to be tackled in a bear hug by my crazy friend. In her hugging frenzy, she made both of us fall on the ground. I was in shock at first. Then, as if on cue we both started laughing so hard. I gently pushed Haley off me and stood up. I then helped her up as well.

Something on her finger almost blinded me. I looked a bit closer and seen her beautiful heart shaped platinum cut diamond engagement ring. That ring was so HUGE. It had to be like twenty-five carats!  

Hales seen I was looking at her ring finger, so her being who she is shoved the ring in my direct eyesight.

"Do you love it Kk?!!" Hales asked.

"Hales it's so beautiful wow and blinding I love it! I'm so happy for you. No one deserves it more!!" I squealed the last part.

"I know right! I sent my family a picture of it everyone loves it and are so elated for the baby of the family to be getting married!"

Hales mother and sisters moved to Colorado a few years back because that was their mother's birth place. Hales use to cry because of the heavy ache in her heart of missing them. She always visit every two months.

All the sisters had husbands and no kids yet. Hales once told me that they all planned to get pregnant at the same time. She included me in it. To my protest that fell on deaf ears. I finally gave in only to shut her up.

"Hales I can't wait to help you plan. I might not know a lot about weddings, but I will help as much as I can." I said with a big smile plastered on my face.

Hales sheepishly smiled and said:

"Kk all I need from you is for you to plan my bachelorette party."

Taken a bit back and feeling a little offended I coughed awkwardly and just nodded my head.

Sensing the change in my demeanor Hales quickly spoke up.

"No Kk I didn't mean it in a malicious way at all. I just meant that my plans were already written out. Remember when we were kids, and I wrote in my notebook about my wedding plans? Well I still want it the same way" She said with a chuckle.

"No worries Hales I said with a slight chuckle. I was just thinking about that before you called me ....." I said

Uh-oh oops me and my big mouth!

"Why were u thinking about me and my wedding plans Kk?" Hales asked with a confused expression.

"Um I um I c ca can ex explain Hales" I stammered my words.

A light bulb seemed to go on in Hales head and she yelled:

OH MY GOD YOU KNEW HE WAS GONNA PURPOSE DIDN'T YOU! I can't believe you held this from me!"

She looked angry but I saw a smile creep upon her lips.

"I'm just joking. I'm so grateful that Matt came to you about this. Your a big important part in my life. Always will be I love you."

"Gosh Hales you almost mafe me pee on my self I thought you were really mad at me! Let's go eat I made us lunch."

Hales and I ate and then talked somemore about her wedding. She wanted a traditional white gown, with a sweetheart neckline, a chocolate cake with cream cheese cream filling, and a dj. After talking for a while I seen that it was ten p.m.! Hales have been over here for seven hours!

"Hales you do know its ten p.m. and you haven't called or texted Matt right? Plus we have work in the morning." I exclaimed.

Oh CRAP Matt Must be so worried! I told him I would be home by seven. Where's my phone?

She looked around only to realize she left it in her car haha. Hales was so forgetful just like me. Cause I looked on the couch and seen my phone blinking away. I had four missed calls from Matt and 10 text messages asking if Hales was still with me. I must had silenced it and forgot to turn it up. I sent Matt a quick text, saying Hales and I lost track of time and that she was leaving now. I also congratulated him on getting her to say yes.

"Calm down Hales I just texted Matt that your on your way home." I replied to soothe her anxious thoughts.
"Thank you Kk you're a life saver. We'll talk tomorrow have a good day at work love you." Hales said as she made her way out the door.

We hugged and said we'll see each other later.

Now, I better hurry up take my shower and go to bed. I have work at eight a.m. til four p.m. then the gym. I was going to be tired. However, it was worth it. I love being there for Hales. She's always there for me. That's what a true friend embodies.
