The situation unveiling before her wasn't what she had expected. There was just so much blood, and so many bodies dropping onto the ground one by one like how the rain would pour from the sky. As Krystal took cover behind a wooden plank, she immediately met with the eyes of Kris, and he nods at her as if to give the signal to 'Go!'.

The moment she leaves her hiding spot, bullets surrounds her but she paid no heed to them, knowing that Kris got her back. She smiles in satisfaction when she recognises that her team was winning. What happens next was something she never expects when gases starts to fill in the air. People started to cough and fall unconscious to the ground. She held in her breath, already experiencing small issues like these before and trails after a figure she knew like the back of her hand.

Kwon Haesun.

With one last look at her already fainted friends, she knew that it was now up to her  to end him, seeing that her father and Sehun's father was nowhere in sight.

Krystal's Point Of View

I knew what I was about to do was absolutely beyond stupid. Following an old enemy up to the rooftop was definitely not a rather smart idea, but I was just so desperate to end this bloodbath. So many of us have fallen and I couldn't even spot Sehun in that massive pool of blood anymore. The last thing I remembered witnessing was the look on Dylan's face before he fell down, - one with full of bewilderment and unbelievement.

Yes, I admit. Using poisonous gas to take down your opponent is indeed a dirty old tactic in the book, but I knew that was how bad guys rule. And it was getting on my nerves, really. As I walked up the stairs leading to the open space, I was determined to end this lame excuse of a mafia boss's life right then and there, I mean, the guy's almost close to 60 the least, right?

So what could be so hard taking down an old aged man, right?

Boy, was I wrong.

The door behind me slammed closed, and the lock was turned from the outside.

Ah, so the old man did planned for this to happen. I wonder how he knew that I would follow him up here to this skanky old rundown place.

"Jung Soojung." The familiar voice boomed through my ears, and I turned around to face the one and only, Kwon Haseun. I cocked a head towards him and gave him a smirk, my act never faltering. "Old man, hey. It has been sometime since we've met each other."

"Yeah, well since you locked me in jail 16 years ago." He huffs.

I smiled at him, one full of sinister. "Aww, did that hurt your ego? A 4-year-old locking up the mafia boss?"

He laughs at me. The nerve this old man has. He has the nerve to laugh at me?! Then he turned serious and stared at me dead in the eye.

"You look just like her, your mother." He says, almost longingly.

I waited for him to pursue, not wanting to anger him any further.

"Your mother wasn't supposed to die that night. It was your damned father that should have."

I snorted to myself. As if that was supposed to make me feel better.

"But your mother got in the way. By that time it was too late. The damage had been done, the life had been taken."

"Well maybe the next time you kill someone, you should double check before simply pulling the trigger." I mocked, and I could see him tense.

"I loved your mother, you know. If that night went as it was planned, I would have taken your mother, your sister and you and run far away to live with the three of you."

I laughed out loud to this. "Me, living with you? If my mother was alive, she would be laughing her ass off at you."

"Listen here old man, you're a murderer and because of you I lost my mother when I was just a little girl. Because of you my family's broken and because of you I had to live half of my life with no love, and constantly looking behind my back twice just in case a psychopath like you comes along and tries to kill me. You'd be damned if my mother would follow you without putting up a fight." I was really angry right now, and I had every reason to be with this man who has taken my mother's life away, with intention or not.

"I came back her to kill your father actually, but my son had taken quite an interest in you."

I shuddered at the thought of his perverted son. Being held captive with that son of a bitch for one and a half month wasn't the best thing that could happen to a person, actually.

"But then you and your little boyfriend decided to kill him so I ought to take revenge for him, no?"

I gritted my teeth and clenched my fists. Well I'm sorry that his son was about to rape me!

"And that pathetic little boyfriend of yours, do you actually think that he would love a slut like you?" The color drains from my face when he says that. This old man has technically been monitoring my life for the past 16 years or so.

So what if I was a slut? I asked my inner self-conscious. So what if I had been used countless of times? So what if I had been touched all over? Sehun did say he loves me, right?

I shook my head, focusing myself on the situation. This wasn't the time to doubt Sehun's love for me. It was the time to end this old man and save my friends.

"Hey old man, I'd appreciate it if you don't talk about my wife like that." It was Sehun. I could recognise his voice from miles apart. And with that look on his face, he didn't seem happy at all, and that was the least that I could say. He was tattered and bruised, dried blood smeared at the corner of his face. I would almost have run towards him if it wasn't for the nod of assurance he'd given me before stalking towards Kwon Haesun.

I grab onto the silver pistol that Sehun had given me earlier that was tucked safely behind my shirt when I see Kwon Haesun lifting his gun towards Sehun. The next few seconds happened so quickly that my brain couldn't register, and I fall onto my knees, and suddenly it feels like I was 4 again and stuck in that secret room with my elder sister while my mother sacrificed her life for my father.

My brown-haired warrior falls onto the ground when the bullet penetrates his lower abdomen. My eyes widen to this, and I immediately rammed myself towards the old man, ready for a one-to-one sparring with the murderer who killed my mother.

"Focus on your angry energy." I recalled Sehun teaching me not long ago.

I took a deep breath.

Kwon Haseun killed my mom, and this time, I wasn't about to let him go.
