Descend

Chapter 6

It was dark but not the kind of the darkness that frighten me, it was calm and a cool breeze brushed against my skin. I heard giggling and like that it was no longer dark; I was still in the woods a bright moon shone lighting up the trees. Fire flies dance on my skin and I giggled as they tickled me. 

"Aria Hurry" 

My head shot up at the sound of Lilly voice and she run through the trees out to a clearing and I quickly followed, I came into a clearing with a lake Lilly was giggling with some girls and I smiled at my best friend she waved me over. 

"Lilly what are you doing here?"

She hugged me, she looked beautiful wearing a deep blue dress that had a V neck showing some of her chest she looked radiant  her long brown hair straight and free and flowers adored her head. Helen came over she was also wearing a blue dress but hers was a light blue and high neck her hair was up in tight bun and she had butterflies for earrings their wings moved every few seconds they where wonderful.  

I looked around all the girls where wearing blue dresses all in different shades. I looked  down to myself now noticing that I also was wearing a sky blue dress, it looked like the skies had made it for me.  My was also V neck but not a low as Lilly's and small gems glitter on the dress making it look like the stars had decided to rain on it. 

"You look beautiful he will love it!" 

Helen said and jump into my arms in an excited hug, I looked at her confused; who will like it? She grabbed my hand and dragged me over to where the other girls stood there was ten of us I stood next to Helen and Lilly next to me. 

"What is going on?"

Helen shushed me and coming out of the woods where ten men all wearing dark blue mask covering there faces. All they wore were dark blue loosely fitted pants and nothing on there chest leaving them bare it was a sight to be seen but I was still confused what was happening. There was silence and moon shone upon us and then in seconds the girls started to run into the woods and Lilly grabbed my hand pushing me on. The girls where giggling I looked behind and realised the men where chasing us, like a cat and mouse game. Lilly screamed and her hand was ripped out of mine she disappeared  into the dark woods. 

"Lilly!" 

I chased after her, I needed to help her I pushed my legs and I came around a bend I Instantly stopped in my tracks, well I defiantly found Lilly she was push up against a tree a man grabbed hold her legs wrapping them around his hips and they where getting hot and heavy. I quickly moved away giggling to myself as a moved further in to the woods I could hear moans  and body on body action and it hit me like a tone of bricks this was a hunt we where the dear and they where the wolfs taking their pry. I felt a gaze on my back and turned around to be greeted with golden eyes, we stared each other down everything was silent and then I ran. 

The wind was like freedom on my soul and I felt the adrenaline pumping through my veins, for once I wanted to be silly and forget my nightmares. A hand grabbed hold of my arm pushing me to a stop I crashed into a tree. I was looking into those golden eyes we were breathing heavy I pulled his mask of to see his beautiful face I pushed his golden locks out his eyes and he smirked. 

"Got you" 

My eyes shot open and I realised I was no longer in the woods but on a nice soft bed I looked around I was back in the castle in my bedroom. I sighed it was just a dream and very real dream but just a dream. I looked at my arm where the tattoo was, a reminder of the deal I made it hurt like a bitch. I needed to start figuring out a plan. How can I make the darkest man fall in love? No not fall in love but an act of love, what was the difference? My doors barged open and Helen rushed in, she wore a light green dress and she looked elegant like a princess that she was. 

"Aria! Oh my gosh you had me so worried!" 

She came to my side pushing her hand on my head checking my temperature. She passed me some water and I gulped down not realising  how thirsty I was. 

"When you didn't return I sent my brother to find you, you were freezing when he brought you back. I never been so worried in my life" 

I almost chocked on my drink when she mention that her brother was the one to find me and carry me back. I was surprised he didn't leave me there to die. 

"You always worry sister" 

My head shot up to meet the princes piercing golden eyes, he was eating a apple dress in a black tunic and pants and headed over to my balcony and leaned against the frame. Helen turned to address her brother who was looking out to the royal gardens. Orcus words drifted into my mind "His soul isn't fully tainted" Looking at him now I could almost believe it, in how he looked at the world in wonder. 

"And you.. you who just left her in here, not letting anyone know that she was ill and freezing to death, it was good thing the maid heard her cries. You such a brute some times" 

Maybe not so much of my knight and shining armour. I sigh and looked away this was impossible how was I meant to make him care never mind love. I pushed my self of the bed still wearing the dress that I wore yesterday it was dirty and all I wanted was to get clean and then maybe go to the library and think up a plan. Helen sensing what I needed went out of the room to call some maids to get me a bath ready. I sigh and turned to the prince he was still looking outside, and I pinch my nose. 

"Alaric leave"

I pointed to the door, he shoulders tensed and I gasp realising what I just said. I said his name I never said his name not once and I couldn't take it back. 

"What did you just say?" 

his back was still to me but I could feel the tension and then it hit me, those words echoed in my head again"His soul isn't fully tainted"  he didn't like it when I said his name because it stirred something in him; something he wants to forget. A smile curved on my lips and I straighten my back in confidents. 

"I said leave Alaric" 

I whispered and in a shot he was in front of me, he grabbed my arms in a tight grip and our noses where almost touching, his golden eyes swirled and he pushed me against the frame of the bed. 

"Try that again little girl" 

He spat out, a storm was swirling between us and the tension was flouting through the air. After a couple of moments he let go of me and stormed out of the room and a new sense of hope fell on me. 

Oh I was going to get Alaric to do an act of love because I was going to make him remember and that will be his undoing.
