"Is that Captain America?" I quietly squealed at Natasha
"Yeah, why?" She laughed at my childishness.
"Because I thought that he was dead. In the ocean."
"What time are you from?"
"A long time ago" I say dramatically.
"Well now's your time to meet him because I always eat lunch with him, and your joining us." She laughs.
"What? No. Natasha." I freak, then realize I'm not getting out of this and I have to keep my cool.
"Captain. This is Victoria. She is the one that we found like we did you." She announces as we walk up to him. He stands up revealing how tall he is. I'm a sixteen, well kinda sixteen, year old girl and standing next to a super soldier does not boost somebodies confidence.
"Steve Rogers, nice to meet you ma'am." Wait. Hold the phones. Hold the fricking phones! Did he just say Rogers?
(Steve's POV)
She looks a lot like someone that I used to know. But we never had a child. I don't think. Oh boy.
"Captain Rogers to Director Fury's office. Immediately!" The voice over the intercom announces.
"Sorry I have to go. It was nice to meet you Victoria."
"You as well Captain." She's polite. She looks like me. Uh oh.
As I walk down the many hall ways to Fury's office, I can't stop thinking about Victoria. Then I think about, if she is my daughter, how in the world did she end up frozen? By the time I'm done with my thoughts I am standing in front of Fury's office door.
"Captain, take a seat. We have something to discuss. And you will be very shocked."
**Thirty Minutes Later**
"So, she is my daughter?" I ask one last time.
"Yes. I know that this is hard for you. But you have a daughter who tried to commit suicide. The only evidence that was found was her mother saying 'Thank god she's gone.' Go ask her what her last name is. Since she doesn't have a place to stay, and we really don't need any more Avenger kids running around the helicarrier, she is going to go live with you." Fury says. I knew it. I knew it, I just knew it.
"Yes sir." I say with a genuine smile.
"Now go, Romanoff has a mission and the last thing she needs to do is babysit before it." I get up and leave. I run, and I mean run, to the dining hall, but they're not there. So I call Natasha.
'Hello'
"Where are you?" I ask.
'I took Victoria to the mall to get new clothes. Why what's wrong?' She answers.
"I just found out something about Victoria. Nothing bad, but when you guys get back I need to talk to her."
'Okay, well I have to go. She is so happy to be in a mall. Bye.'
"Bye" I laugh and hang up. At least she is having fun. How is she going to react? Is she going to be mad? I've never met her before, I mean, I didn't know that I even had a daughter. Why did she jump? And why did her mother want her gone?
How in the world, am I going to raise a teenage girl?
(Victoria's POV)
I am so happy to be in a mall, and I don't have to pay for any of the clothes I get. It's awesome!
"That was Steve. He want's to talk to you when we get back." Natasha informs me.
"What about?" I ask, hoping that I didn't do anything wrong.
"I'm not sure, but he said that it wasn't bad, so I wouldn't worry about it." I nod and continue to scan through the racks of clothing. I was really eager to talk to Captain Rogers so I only took another thirty minutes until I couldn't take it anymore. I like to shop, but not that much. Plus I'm really concerned with what the Captain has to talk to me about. But Natasha and I each ended up leaving with a couple outfits, even though we were shopping for me.
**In The Helicarrier**
I'm waiting for Captain Rogers in a conference room. I just got here, but I'm already impatient. Impatient and nervous.
"Victoria?" I look up and see the Captain.
"Captain Rogers. What did you need to speak with me about?" I ask,
"Please call me Steve."
"Then you can call me Tori." I insist.
"Okay, Tori, Director Fury has informed me about something that I think you should know." He tells me.
"Okay?"
"It's about your father."
