A Secret to Know

Part 3

Chapter 3

I stared at the letter, thinking that if I opened it Luke (my exe) would pop out. "Who are you?" I asked the girl. "Ashley...but friends call me Ash." she said. "Well Ash, how did you get this?" I asked. "Um I was on the beach and I saw this lovely beach house. There was a girl there calling. "Stacy!" so I asked her if I could help her. She said she was looking for Stacy Crane and so I told her that I knew where you were but it was a secret. She told me to give you this letter." she said. "Did this girl have red curls and green eyes...dressed from head to toe in pink?" I asked. "yes now that I think about." she replied. "That was Claire, my ex-best friend." I said. "And this letter is from luke...my ex-boy friend." I said. 'I'm so sorry." she said. "thanks." I sighed "but that was all before I met Steph." I said. "thanks for um...delivering the letter." I said. She bowed "of course your highness." she said. we were about to go our separate ways when I said "Would you like to have dinner at the palace...I'd love to make a new friend." she smiled. "Sure. I'd love to." she said and she swam away. "Who was that?" I jumped when I heard Risa. "Ashley but everyone calls her Ash...she's coming for dinner." I said. "What's that?" she asked. "A letter." I said "I'm going back to read it. You go do...whatever it is you do." and I swam off.

  " Dear Stacy, I miss you and I'm sorry. Claire is nothing like you. I want to be with you and only you. People say that after what I did to you, you and your family moved...I hope it isn't true. I think about you all the time. I hear your voice. I'm going to be at your beach house on June seventh. If you get this letter please meet me there at about 11:00. I need to talk to you.               Luke."

 I had to do it. I had to go meet him. I had to tell him that I was getting married and never to see him again. If I didn't he would keep bugging me. I had to do it and I wasn't going to tell anyone about either.
