Percy's POV
The next morning, I woke up early. Well, that's a first. I stretched my arms and put on a pair of jeans and a shirt from my pile of clothes. I went to the kitchen and saw a note from my mom.
Sorry, I had to leave early for a shift at the store. I left some breakfast in the fridge, have a good day at school!

I opened the fridge and heated up my breakfast. I glanced the the clock. I still had a good half hour left before the buses got to school. I can't wait to see the look on Leo's face when I get there early. I grabbed my waffles and headed out.
Annabeth's POV
I closed the door behind me and glided down the steps. I feel excited for school. I can't wait to start homework. Wow that sounds pretty weird, but whatever. Across the street, I saw Percy locking his door. "Percy!" I shouted.
He turned around. "Hey Annabeth!" He yelled back. I grinned and walked towards him.
"Want to walk to school together?" I asked him.
"Definitely! I can't wait for you to meet my friends, and talk to them, and sit at lunch, and compare schedules, and-"
I rolled my eyes. "Okay okay, I get it!" He grinned at me, and we chatted away like old friends. We talked about things I that scare us, movies and spiders (Eww) and fire and heights. When we got to school, it was deserted. We stepped inside and sat down in the cafeteria. I took out my schedule and we compared.

I smiled at him. "We have 4 classes, plus Lunch and study hall together!" He said with a smile.
"Want to walk together to class?" I nodded.
"HEY EVERYONE! LEO VALDEZ IN THE HOUSE!!!!" A Latino boy walked toward our table with a mischievous smile on his face.
He winked at Percy and said, "Hey, Who's the new girl?" Percy gave him a look and said, "This is Annabeth Chase, my new neighbor."
I gave him a smile. "I'm Leo Valdez, and that gorgeous girl walking towards us is Calypso, my girlfriend." A girl with caramel brown hair walked towards us.
