Percy's POV
"Bye Annie!" I said.
"Hey! Don't call me Annie!" She glared.
I rolled my eyes. "Okay Annabeth Chase." I said cheekily.
"You're impossible," Annabeth smirked.
"Percy? Annabeth?" Piper yelled from across the hall, earning annoyed looks. I reached over and hugged Annabeth before Piper came close enough. She smelled like lavender. Annabeth stiffened for a second then hugged me back. "Hey lovebirds," Piper said cheerfully.
"Piper, we've only known each other for a couple of days." I admit, I was a little hurt, but she didn't deny it! Piper must have been thinking the same thing, she grinned wordlessly.
Annabeth's POV
Piper was grinning and Percy was blushing. What was going on? I analyzed the situation. I still didn't get it. But my mind was fogged up because Percy just hugged me! We barely knew each other. But I admit, I was having a small crush on him. No. It can't be like my last relationship. Piper suddenly grabbed my arm and said, "Come on Annabeth, we're gonna be late to tech!" I smiled apologetically to Percy and let Piper drag me away. "So, what's up between you and Percy?" I frowned. "Annabeth, I saw the hug."
I raised my eyebrow. "I do not have a crush on him, if that's you're thinking." I protested.
Piper smirked and said something under her breath that suspiciously sounded like "Denial...."
