Chapter 6

Percy's POV
I groaned as I looked at my schedule. Math next. It could be worse, English was torture, especially reading workshop. I winced just thinking about it. I walked towards math, and sat down in a random seat. I sighed in relief when I didn't see Rachel. I raked his eyes around the classroom, taking everything in. I tapped my pencil against the wooden desk, unable to sit still. Annabeth was stuck in my head, her stormy gray eyes, her curly blonde hair.

"Hey man, mind if I sit here?" Jason smiled at Percy.

"No problem man." He replied.

Jason set his bag down. "Listen man, I'm having this party tonight at my place, and I wanted to know if you could come."

Percy nodded. "Who's coming?"

"Piper, Leo, Calypso, Hazel, Frank, Travis, Conner, Katie, Nico, and maybe Annabeth?"

I nodded my head vigorously. "Definitely!" I said enthusiastically.

Jason raised his eyebrow. "In love already?"

I glared at him, and opened my mouth to say something, but I was unfortunately cut off by the teacher. I sighed and put my chin on the palms of my hands. This was gonna be a long period.

Annabeth's POV
"Alright class, today we are going to learn how to tell the difference between the screws I have in front of me." The teacher said.

An assistant teacher, Mr.Brunner stepped up. "I shall take some of the advanced students to learn how to solder." He had an accent that I couldn't put a finger on, but it sounded familiar. "Raise your hand if you know the difference between the screws and you would like to solder." I rode my hand, and looked around. I saw Leo raise his hand, and Calypso, but no one else." Mr.Brunner shrugged and gestured us to follow him.

Calypso walked up to me. "So, I heard you have a crush on Percy." She said.

I rolled my eyes. "Gee, wonder where you heard that from." I said sarcastically.

Calypso gave me a small smile. "I used to like him you know. I was friends with Rachel and we both always flirted with him." She said with disgust. "Then, I met Leo, and deserted Rachel. But she replaced me with Reyna anyway, it was like I didn't exist. But I don't regret leaving her." She finished with a grin.

I returned her grin with a smile of my own. "Hard to believe you and Rachel used to be friends. You and Leo are so cute together!"

Calypso raised an eyebrow. "Piper is rubbing off you, isn't she?"

"You bet."

For the rest of class, we laughed as we burned our fingers, learning how to solder.
