I climb down from David's lap and just stare into his most perfect eyes.
"David..do you realize how wrong this is?"
He opens his mouth to speak, but hesitates slightly before giving me his response.
"Julie, this school is so laid back and small, that things won't get suspicious like in a mainstream school. I don't want to hold back on this."
I smile at him, then notice the subject timetable being switched around. I open the door and look at it.
"Oh, David. The times have been changed for today. This is my last class."
He notices, and begins walking down the staircase that is so close to the door.
"Where are you going, David?"
"Just follow me."We make our way outside, and David walks over to his car. I follow.
"Would you like a ride to the bus station?"
"Okay. Thank you David."
I get into the passenger seat of the car and David starts driving out the gate of the school.
"David, if you don't mind me asking, what's your last name?"
He chuckles, then answers.
"Bowie, my dear."Bowie. What an interesting last name.
The drive to the bus station is a mere five minutes, but it would have taken me twenty if I were to walk.
David finds a parking space just near the entrance, stops the car and looks at me.
"Thank you so much for the ride David. I'll see you at school tomorrow?"
David nods, and I go to exit the car. Without warning, he pulls me back and lands a delicate kiss on my lips. I cup his cheek softly and kiss back.
He pulls away and catches my gaze."Go. Or you'll miss your bus. See you tomorrow."
I smile to myself the entire 30 minute bus ride to the little village just two miles from my house.
I text my foster mom to come pick me up, just before the bus enters the village so she'll be there when I get off the bus.I get into the car, where I'm greeted by my foster mom smiling at me.
"So, Julie? How was your first day? Was it fun? What are your teachers like? Did you make any new friends?"So. Many. Questions.
"It was amazing, Helen! So much fun. The teachers are lovely, especially my music teacher,"
I grin at the sweet thought of David.
"The people are great, but I think it's too soon to tell."
Helen nods, then smiles at me.
"So you like your music teacher, then?"
My mind almost wanders away at the mere thought of my gorgeous music teacher.
"Oh, yeah. He's wonderful. He's a really good teacher. I've learned a bunch from him already."Helen drives home, and I immediately walk to my bedroom, because it's the only place where I can have peace and quiet.
I honestly can't wait for school tomorrow, but with what's going on between David and I..although it was only a kiss, makes me feel...weird.
I get a feeling in the pit of the stomach that feels like an electric current.I just met the guy today...it's not....it can't be.....love?
