I was awoken to the sounds of breaking glass and screams of fright.
"What is going on?!" I yelled.
"Raiders! People tryin' to take our stuff, now come on zombie killer and fight," Regan tossed me a gun and ran away.
"People sure are stupid, raiding other people in the middle of a zombie apocalypse?" I grumbled running after her.
When I got outside our camp area, I saw a huge brawl taking place in a field. All the guns had been left by the woods and everyone was fighting using hand to hand combat as best they could. Chris, who took boxing lessons, was beating the crap out of a dude, while the others, with minimal training, were holding up against their foes. We were out numbered yet I smiled as I walked onto the battle field. I was currently taking kickboxing lessons so I knew I had the edge and was anxious to try out some of the moves I had learned. My first opponent was a teenage boy who was ganging up on Greg. I hooked the guy in the jaw, causing him to collapse from the sudden pain. As he stood up, I kneed him in the face. This was a very one sided fight as I pummeled him until he fell on the ground without the will to stand up and fight. The battle went on like this for awhile. People on our team would switch in and out with others to help them depending on how we were doing. Once I saw Anthony fall. I swiped the legs out from under the man I was fighting and ran over to him. But the second I got there, Anthony shooed me away and angrily face his challenger. All of a sudden, Anthony ran towards him and dove, legs first, aiming for his knees. Luckily, for the guy, Anthony missed and hit the mans thighs, causing the guy to collapse. Finally, at around noon, the battle was over. We had won. As we went back to clean ourself so up and get ready to go, the boy I had first beaten sat up and groaned, "Arn't ya gonna loot us?"
"We don't have the time to do that," Julia said.
"Yeah no time, got to get to New York," Luke added, smiling at Julia, who blushed back.
"Well we will see ya there," the boy look at me for a brief moment, smiled, and flopped back on the ground, exhausted.
"Maybe you beat him up to much," Regan whispered to me.
"Nah, didn't you see the will in his eyes? No way anyone could break that." I walked away to gather my things and left Regan standing there giving me a funny look.
