Shadowfire

Chapter 6

"Look out!" Someone yelled, I looked up to see Starscream pursuing us. I bit back a groan, why did he have to follow me? Now someone I care about is going to get hurt.
::Shadowfire to Starscream::
::Responding::
::Please fall back, you're outnumbered and they'll hurt you:: I begged
::I can't, I have orders from your sire::
::Please don't fight::
::I'm sorry I don't have a choice:: I was so torn, I didn't want him to get hurt but at the same time I didn't want any Autobots getting hurt. I didn't want them to fight.
We reached the city and began transforming just as Starscream fired a missile, destroying Bee's legs.
"Bee!!" I screamed rushing to the fallen bot "no!!"
"Leah!"
"Dad? What are you doing here?"
"Long story, let's just say I was very surprised to run into Sam and Mikaela at Hoover Dam" there was another explosion close by and Will tried pulling me away from Bee, it didn't work very well because I was in my full cybertronian form.
"Come on help me with this!" Mikaela said, motioning to the tow truck she was hot wiring. I heaved Bee up and onto the back of the truck, and wrapped a chain around him "I drive you shoot!" She yelled to Bee and he nodded, aiming his canons at the hordes of Decepticons descending on the city. Optimus shoved the Cube into Sam's hands, instructing him to get it to the rendezvous with the airforce. I would've offered to cover him but I didn't want to have to shoot anyone I knew.

"Megatron!" Someone yelled and I looked up to see him holding Jazz aloft, about to tear him apart.
"No!" I shouted, lunging forward and grabbing my father's arms before he could tear Jazz to pieces "don't! Let him go!" Megatron obliged and dropped Jazz, I pushed an unresisting Megatron back and through a street out of the sight line of the fight.
"Please don't hurt my friends" I begged him
"Why? They aren't going to stop hurting us just because you tell them to!"
"I know and doesn't that say something about who loves me more? If you're willing to avoid hurting my friends and they're not?"
"I suppose so" he admitted "but you can't stop me from fighting Optimus, he took you from me"
"Fine" I sighted, knowing I couldn't change his mind and that Optimus could hold his own "fight out your grudge with Optimus"
"I love you my Sparkling"
"Love you too Oppi" I replied as Megatron took off to rejoin the fight.

"Where's Sam?" I asked Bee once I found him and Mikaela. Bee pointed to the tower where Sam was meant to be giving the Cube to the airforce, making a strangled noise in his throat.
"Megatron and Optimus are fighting and Sam's right beneath them" Kayla said frantically.
"Frag" I said, rushing towards the fight
"Now Sam!" Optimus yelled, motioning for Sam to do something with the AllSpark, but Sam rushed away from him, towards Megatron, lifting the Cube as if to merge it with his spark. I made a strangled noise, Sam was going to kill my sire. Megatron's eyes met mine as the Cube neared his chest. I targeted the AllSpark with my cannons, blowing up the only hope of rebuilding my home planet. There was a blinding flash of while light as the energy contained in the Cube exploded.
"Run" I told Megatron "they'll kill you"
"I'll be back for you my Sparkling" Megatron said, taking off and flying away, ordering the Decepticons to retreat.

"So what now?" I asked, voicing the question on everyone's mind.
"With the AllSpark destroyed we cannot rebuild Cybertron, it would be best if we stay here on Earth" Optimus said "Megatron was destroyed along with the Cube so we'll hunt down the remaining Decepticons and be done with it"
"Why hunt them down if they haven't provoked us? They might not want to fight anymore" I protested
"Of course they want to fight, they're Decepticons it's what they do, we have to finish them off while they're weakened" Ironhide said and I frowned at him.
"Shadowfire might be right" Jazz said, defending me.
"It doesn't matter" Optimus said "the US government has set up a special task force to deal with the Decepticon threat and we're to work with them, Major Lennox  has been put in command of the NEST team" I didn't want my dad going up against enemy cybertronians without me there to back him up, so I supposed I'd just have to try convince them not to fight later. Would it be possible to engineer peace between Autobots and Decepticons, even if I could manage to convince them to make me a liaison between the two?
