Touching the water with the tip of my fingers as I ride the waves gives me the warmth my body has been begging for and its been so long since I've surfed and that feeling of passion and love for the sea is still there. Being out here again it brings me closer to my mother every time, and I'm grateful my father taught me how to surf because if he didn't I would feel empty.

"So where did you learn how to surf?" Drake asked.

"That is funny how you asked that because I was just thinking about it," I smiled as I looked at him. "My father taught me, he wanted me to have my mother apart of me somehow and surfing is one of the things she loved so he was hoping I would love it too and he was right. How about you how did you learn?"

He looked out to the shore and smiled a little and started surfing up to catch a wave. Why didn't he answer me? He looked so happy when I asked him so why did he ignore me? Ignoring it I started to follow him and take a wave myself. I paddled as hard and fast as I could and I dived under the water to avoid the small little one and when I came to I stood up and started the ride. Nature is a beautiful thing,  it feels like its taken for granted half the time and you take away their powers by enjoying it to much. Forgetting everything in the world and just feeling peace in that very moment, enjoying that part of nature that allowed you to explore.

The wave got a little stronger for me to stay on and I got whipped out. It felt like the water was pulling me down every time I tried swimming back up to the surface, my lungs felt tighter . Finally I was able to reach the above but one gasp for air I was pulled back under by another wave. My lungs kept getting tighter and my arms were starting to tire out, I didn't know if I was going to get out of this. No matter what the waves just kept getting stronger every second, it was like a storm you couldn't see or hear just feel.  I couldn't breathe anymore darkness started to feel my eyes, it felt like I was being pulled  back up. But I was just to tired to keep my eyes open.

Before darkness can fully take over I finally felt air in my lungs again. Coughing and gasping for air trying to stay conscious. "Stay with me Brianna, I got you." is all I heard. I was to tired to acknowledge who it was but to my guess it had to be Drake.

We reached the shore and I crawled to the beach and started throwing up water. "Hey are you ok? One min we are surfing and the next thing I know when I looked back you weren't there I just saw your board flying up. It scared the living  hell out of me!" Drake started to rub my back to try and make me feel better. And it was somewhat helping but not entirely. I looked back at him relieved that I'm not imagining it.

"I'm fine. Thank you for worrying but this isn't my first time getting wiped out, the waves are stronger here though." I tried laughing it off so he wouldn't worry so much.

"Are you sure you are ok? You didn't hit your head or anything?" he asked looking me over making sure I didn't have any bruising or bumps. I gave him a little no, letting him know I didn't get hurt. He gave me a relieved smile and hugged me. It shocked me because I wasn't expecting that and I didn't know if I should hug him back or just stay frozen. I just don't want to seem rude so I did indeed hug him back and I can feel that smile as I did. I knew he was glad I did. "Also no more surfing for you in the morning" he said.  Eh I can deal with that.

"Drake what are you doing?" I heard a older woman voice.

We both let go and turned around to see a elderly woman who looked just like Drake.

"Oh, mom hey it's nice to see you again." he got up and went to hug his mother who was looking at me weirdly.

"Honey who is this?" she asked gesturing to me. He smiled and came to help me up to make the introductions.

"Mom I would like you to meet Brianna my girlfriend." he said. She smiled a fake smile, this is gonna be good.

"Hi its nice to finally meet you ma'am. Drake has told me a lot about you and I really do hope we can get to know each other more." I extended my hand for her to shake but she just looked at it in disgust. I pulled it back a little embarrassed and just stood there quietly as she gave me the death glare.

she looked back at drake and looked worried "Hun you must be freezing how about you go and change for dinner maybe take a nice hot shower to so you can get warmed up."

"Thank you mom, but I'm more worried about Brianna she was the one getting hit by the waves more then me. so I'm gonna take her in and we will see you at dinner ok!"

She turned around looked me up and down and just nodded her head slowly and walked back to the house before us. I looked back at Drake and gave him a sly smile. "Don't pay attention to her my mother is a witch if she doesn't get her way and since you are here she doesn't get to hook me up with that brat and she hates that. Just ignore her when she does that because I do. Now lets go get you warm." he wrapped his arms around me and we headed towards the house.

I got in the shower and that steam felt so good on my back. I didn't know I was that cold till now.  I took a good 15 min shower before I stepped out and started to dry myself. I got dressed in a pair of jeans and a flower loose long sleeve crop top along with a pair of flower sandals. I put my hair in a high pony tail, with my necklace my dad gave me and some bracelets.

Finally looking over myself in the mirror and hoping this would make a good first impression on his family. "Here goes nothing."
