I snapped out of the memories with my dad and started to walk into the carnival. I walked around for a while buying cotton candy and a soda before stumbling upon Gemma Teller. I hadn't seen her in years, she was an old friend of my moms but then they just drifted apart.
"Arya Goldman? is that you?" Gemma started to walk faster and pulled me into a hug. It sure felt nice to kinda know someone here and not feel alone.
"Hey Gemma, how have you been?" I asked after she finally let go of my body, she looked so happy and alive. but I knew she'd ask about my parents and I'd have to tell her what happened. that's what really sucks about seeing old friends or meeting new people, you have to retell stories and bad news.

"well I've been great darling, how are you and your parents? are they here with you?" she quickly moved her head around trying to spot them but her face fell the minute mine did.
"actually they passed away a month ago, I didn't have your number or I would have called." she teared up but shot her feelings down and sucked it up just like I had been doing.
"where are you staying?" she avoided the rest of the conversation about their passing and moved straight to my life.

"the old house, the one they lived in before I was born I guess." her face lit up she looked like a kid on christmas morning getting exactly what they wanted.
"that's where your mom grew up, it's beautiful isn't it?" she smiled from ear to ear and so did I, my mom had never told me much about her childhood so it was good to hear something new about her.

"I'm in love with it, two bedrooms is so enough space for me and my dog." she started laughing when a man came up from behind her and whispered in her ear causing her to laugh harder.
"Clay this is Arya, Lydia's daughter." he was confused at first but when he came into realization to who my mother was he embraced me in a tighter hug than Gemma had given me which I didn't think was possible.

"I haven't seen you since you were about 12, you've grown up so much." he smiled and pulled me into another hug but this one was comfortable. we were broken up by a group of guys hitting his back without knowing I was on the other side of him we stumbled but luckily stayed on our feet.

"you guys are idiots, you almost knocked her over!" Gemma yelled and all the guys stepped back to see who this 'her' was.
"Jax this is Arya, you guys played together when you were younger." I had completely forgotten she had a son so I waited until Jax spoke up.

"I don't remember that but I'm sure we had fun." he chuckled while shaking all the guys hands which I'm assuming because he made an attempt at making a sexual joke.

"who are you guys?" I said completely ignoring Jax.

"Tig, Opie, and Juice." Gemma said pointing to each of them, they all stood there, still and silent.
"Opie is married, he's off limits. Tig is weird, do what you want with that and the other two are very single." Gemma spoke again gaining my laugh and Clay's.
"nice to know but I don't think I'll be interested." that was a lie, a huge lie. Jax and Juice were gorgeous but I won't let them know they, it might go to their heads.
