Veronica's POV

"Ronica, come on it's time to go!" mom yelled.

I groan. I was going to yet, another dermatologist. I've already been to five others this month.

"Do we have to? I really don't feel like going to another doctor mom." She sighs and walks over to my bed. She sits down and takes my hand.

"I know it's been hard, but we'll find the right one eventually, sweetheart. Then we can stop chasing all these doctors, I promise." She kisses my forehead.

"Okay, I'll be ready soon." I hop out of bed.

"Thank you sweetie. Oh don't forget, you can't wear makeup to the appointment." She walks away.

"I know, I know." I go to my bathroom to get ready. After I brush my teeth, I wash my face with my special face wash. Then I take a shower with my medicated anti-itch body wash and shampoo.

You see, I have a condition called guttate psoriasis. I got it about a year ago, after I had strep throat. It started off as little pink spots on my arms. We just assumed that it was a reaction to something. It went away after two weeks. Then a month later it reappeared on my face. It kept spreading to my scalp. It's a very rare type of psoriasis. It usually goes away and never returns, but mine keeps coming back. I wear special makeup that completely covers it, so you can't tell I have it. I'm so tired of having to hide it though. It makes me so insecure about myself and causes me to strike out on innocent bystanders that are in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Wait, there's more. I also have epilepsy. It causes me to have seizures out of nowhere. I usually only have two or three a month, but they drain me physically and mentally.

I just wish I could be normal and illness free. Why did this have to happen to ME. I've always been a good girl. My Pastor says that everything happens for a reason and that God has a plan, but I can't understand why he's letting me suffer.

I put on a gray sweatsuit and my Jordan's. I leave my long hair out and put it around my face to cover it up. I put my hood on, grab my phone and go to the car.

Time to go back to Hell.

**********

We arrive at the doctors office and take a seat. I scroll through my Instagram and smile. My profile @KingRonica has ten thousand followers and I get thousands of likes on my pictures. I also get comments from thirsty guys and some girls. Like sweetie, I know I'm hot. You don't have to tell me, but thanks. I'm gorgeous with my makeup, but without it, I'm hideous. I can't let anyone see me like that EVER. I don't know what I would do.

"Veronica King?" A nurse says opening the door. "Yes, that's us." My mom says with a smile. "Follow me please." She holds the door and we walk in.

"Okay let's get your height and weight." I step on the scale. "One twenty-eight very good, now for your height." I stand up straight with my back on the wall. "five foot six." She types it on her laptop. "Alright let's go to the room." She leads us to a small room. I go sit on the long table thing for the patient. She takes my temperature and checks my heart rate.

"Alright, we're all good. Dr.Green will be in soon." "Bye." Mom says. "Bye." She leaves.

Ten minutes later he comes in and I'm looking down at my phone. "Hello ladies, I'm Dr.Green." I look up and my jaw drops. He is fine as hell.

This is the first time I've had a hot doctor before. The others have been old because my mom said they had more experience. Dr.Green looks like he's twenty-five and he is so hot with his tall, muscular body, tan skin, blonde hair and blue eyes.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Wanda and this is my daughter..." "Veronica, but you can call me Ronica." I finish and shake his hand. My mom looks at me shocked. Probably because I never willingly talk to doctors, but he's an exception.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Ronica." He smiles warmly. I blush, which is something I never do.

After he examines my psoriasis he says. "Okay, you have a very rare case, but I think I can help. It won't cure it forever, but it will definitely slow the spread and help minimize it." I smile at him. "Oh, that's fantastic. What is it?" Mom says. "It's called Phototherapy. You have to come in here once a week to sit under ultraviolet light for thirty minutes. Also get as much sunlight as you can, but not to much." He smiles. "That's not bad at all, thanks Dr.Green." Mom hugs him. "You're welcome, I'm glad I could help."

He walks up to me. "Don't let this condition make you feel any less about yourself, you're a beautiful young lady, Veronica." I smile. "Thank you." I hug him. "I'm just stating facts. I'll see you next week." He walks out.

"Well, he was cute." Mom says after noticing my silence. "Yeah, let's go." I put my hood on and start walking out.

Once in the car I relax. "You wanna get some lunch?" Mom asks. "No, I'm not wearing any makeup." I roll my eyes. "Oh, sorry sweetie. We can get something to go." "Yeah, let's get Panera." I love Panera. "Okay baby girl, whatever you want." She's so sweet. "Thanks mom." "Welcome." She smiles.

Then everything goes black.
