The Beginning

Amaya's POV

Ugh I'm so bored ! You have Mail  What  wonder who it is from. I opened the email it was about something called the KIRA case ooh what is this. Then I got a message from my big brother L it read  hey little sister how is my favorite sibling ?   Are you going to  answer or does that dark room you live in not have WiFi. Seriously anywhere in Japan and you choose a dimly lit place off the grid really.   Ugh I could feel my white hair turning black my eyes turning red.  Calm down breathe in breathe out ok better. The door behind me opened.  "C'mon let's go !" Emma shouted "You promised me that we would go shopping today." She whined. "Fine let's go. But good luck trying to find something I will like." I said. "Challenge excepted." Emma said confidently. "Let me get dressed first." I said as I went over to my closet. I put on my slender man T-shirt and black jean shorts then I slipped my converse on and pulled back my long white hair into two pig tails. Oh I almost forgot my contacts. I'll be fine without them today. "Hurry up." Emma called as she started walking out the door. "Ok ok !"I said. The first store we went to I was not a fan of but I didn't have a choice I've blown off Emma so many times I am now so in dept to her I am her personal Barbie. "Hey check this out she held out a pink freaking dress at least 3-4 inches above the knee. "Are you crazy I can't wear tha-  She cut me off. "Tsk Tsk Tsk remember today you have to try on every thing I want you to." She said with smart a alec tone.  " Ugh fine but can you at least get one in my size 5 is to big I thought we went over my measurements in the car." I said angrily. " Fine but ummm what size are you again?" She asked. " 3 at the largest ok now hurry up all this pink is making  me sick." I said. "Ok fine."  She said before stomping off. To tell you the truth the dress wasn't that bad just short and pink not really my style. But I could tell she liked the idea of me in it she probably would think I would look adorable. "I'm baaack !!!" Emma shouted running towards me. "Yay." I said with a bit of sarcasm. I tried the dress on and stepped out. "Happy now?" I asked. "Awww you look sooooooooooooooooooo adorable!" She shouted and squeaked.  See what'd I tell you. " You have to buy it." She said excitedly. "Fine but if I do then we get to buy something I want at a store I want to go to and I get to pick something for you to try on." I said hoping she wouldn't make me buy the dress. "Ok. She said. "Wait that's it just ok." I said suprised. "Well yeah of course I trust you will find something I like." She said a smile on her face. Ugh why ... ok stop calm down and fine. I walked up to the cashier. "That will be $79.99." She said.  Wow expensive much lady. We walked out of the store when I got another message. Hello sis I must now call you S at work as the KIRA case has started and tell your friend that too ok goodbye.  What?  "Hey umm Emma you need to call me S now at work any way  ok." I said kind of nervous about what she might say. "Ok." She said. Wow that's a good response from her especially. "There's that store I like!"  I said. I went and got a cute little T-shirt with Yuno Gasai on it for Emma to try on. "Oh anime depot what don't you have." (I don't know if that is a real place or not so don't butcher me about it) I said with a rare genuine smile. "Uh.. um.. hi." I heard someone from behind me say. When I turned around it was Light Yagami from my school I was the only one that got a perfect score for the finals except him. "Oh hi Light." I said. "Hey umm Amaya-chan." He said.  (yes she goes by a fake name at school but she refused to use her real one hehehe sneaky ) " Yeah what is it." I said with little interest. "N..never mind." He said.  Crap now I feel like a jerk. "No what is it it was obviously something right Light? I said hoping to make up for being a jerk. But just then Emma came over. "Hi Light-kun oooh finally got the courage to talk to Amaya-chan ." She said with that silly lovey-dovey teasing voice. "Uhh... I gotta go see ya later Amaya-chan. He said before leaving. "Emma why are you  so mean to him." I said a bit annoyed with her. "What do you liiike him?" She said in that same tone. "No I don't like him you know that but that doesn't mean you have to be rude." I said. "Hey I like that Dokudo-chan T-shirt." She said. (sorry if I spelled that wrong) "Ok let's get that." I said relieved to find something that we both liked. Then I went over to a small section with exclusively Future Diary stuff and found the last Yuno Gasai black dress. "Yessssss finally found something that my katana will go with perfectly." I said possibly a little bit too loud. "Will that be all?" The cashier asked. "Yes oh wait and these I put a black leather jacket and pair of boots on the counter I almost forgot about. "Your total is $200.47. " The woman said. "Off we go!!" Emma said.

Light's POV

Ok I will just walk up to her nice and smooth and-  " You'll be rejected dude. Just kidding." Ryuk said. "Shut up Ryuk." I whispered quietly. "Fi-" Ryuk started. Then he just stopped in his tracks like something scared him. I kept walking "Uh um hi." I said. Oh really smooth dude. She said hi now what. " Hey um Amaya-chan." I said. "Yeah what is it?" She said with little interest. Crap you have officially failed at asking out a girl you have liked since 2nd grade. ( reader-chan Wha !! \(0 o 0 )/  )  " N...never mind." I said confident that it was hopeless. " No what is it it was obviously something right Light." She said. I can't tell but I think I may have blushed when she said my name.  Then of all the people that she could have been with she was with the only person that knew I liked Amaya and of course she gives it away. ( Ryuk doesn't count he is a shinigami not a person )  "Uhh..... I gotta go see ya later Amaya-chan." I said before leaving and hearing Amaya scold Emma for being rude. Ryuk was still standing there until I left then he followed me home and I gave him an Apple.  He ate it and I sat trying to think of a plan for tomorrow to try again. The death note will have to wait.
