"God Daughter?" Harry was appalled at the idea that his father would let Severus Snape be Ella's God Father.

"But, why you?"

"I was very good friends with Lily growing up. Her sister hates her, and I was there to comfort her. She's my best friend." Harry's jaw dropped, as did Ron's.

Snape smirked. "Shocked I see, Potter." And he walked off, swishing his cloak. No words were shared between the shocked boys as they went upstairs, got ready for bed, and slept.

After a couple of days Lily came and visited. Severus had already left seeing as Ginny was better and needed no more potions.

The first thing she did was hug her children, then pulled Molly aside to talk to her. Harry, Ron, and Ginny all followed, and of course, they heard the whole thing.

"Molly, do you think they attacked Ginny to get to Harry?" Lily's stress was clear in every syllable. "Because of the Bond?

"Probably, now that I think of it."

"But they haven't even started the Bonding process yet!" Somebody must've sat on something, because springs squeaked. "It could still break the other. Destroy them even."

"There's a very good possibility that's what was happening, but if they were going to try to kill her, then why not use the killing curse?" There was a long silence, until Molly said something. "Leverage."

"What?" You could hear the stress and confusion in Lily's voice. "Leverage. They were going to try to kidnap her. Use her as ransom for Harry. An exchange."

Another long silence. "I think you're right Molly. Also, I think we should stop talking about this, best not to jinx it." The kids all scattered, not wanting to get caught. If anything further was said, they didn't know it.
