Chapter 6

Glenn's POV
Everyone went to bed about an hour ago, and that includes me and Kit.

We were both in the back seat, she was laying closest to the front seat with her front facing me, I had my front facing her.

She's been sleeping for about half an hour, I haven't even closed my eyes.

This isn't the most comfortable position either, I'm trying to give Kit her space.

"You don't have to lay so far away." Kit mumbled, sleep very heavy in her voice.

She wrapped her arms around me and scooted closer.

I did the same until our bodies were complete pressed together.

This was definitely better, I sighed and started to play with her hair,

Before I knew it, the world started to get darker as I fell into a much needed sleep.

Katie's POV
I woke up with the sun barely coming up over the horizon, a light snoring sound was being radiated through out the car.

I looked I've to see Glenn's sleeping face, he looked peaceful.

So of course I had to ruin it.

I jammed my finger into his ear and he sprung up.

"Did you just give me a wet willy?" He asked in disbelief.

"No.. I gave you a dry willy. But c'mon, we have to get up, it's morning." I answered.

"But I don't wanna get up." He mumbled, pulling me back down to him.

I sighed, "but we have to sleeping beauty. Now let's go." I tried pulling away.

He yanked me back down and I giggled, "if you get up, I'll give you a surprise." I whispered in his ear.

He opened one eye and looked at me, "a surprise?"

I nodded my head and finally pulled out of his grasp.

I went to the trunk and grabbed my black book bag.

I rummaged through it until I found a pair of dark gray skinny jeans and a black shirt.

I quickly got changed before Glenn got out of the car.

"You change fast." He noted once he finally got out.

I just rolled my eyes at him and took his hand in mine, intertwining our fingers.

When we made it to the fire people were already there.

Carol and Sophia sat quietly on a log while carol stirred something in a pot.

Rick, Lori and Carl were sitting on the ground, Lori playing with carls hair.

Shane was off to the side, obviously glaring at rick and Lori.

Everyone else must be asleep cause I don't see them.

"Hey." Carol greeted when me and Glenn sat on a separate log.

I smiled at her, then gave a little wave to Sophia.

SHe waved back at me.

"I saw you two last night." Lori pointed out, looking at me and Glenn.

I could feel my face starting to heat up, as did Glenn's.

"We were just uh... there wasn't.. Um..." Glenn tried explaining the situation, but it didn't help.

"You don't have to explain yourself to me Glenn." Lori assured.

Glenn let out a breath and looked over at me.

"So what was my surprise?" He whispered into my ear.

"Meet me behind the RV." I whispered back.

I stood up and started to walk to the RV, passing dale on the way.

"Hey dale." I greeted.

"Hey kit.. Can I ask you something?" He replied

"Ya, sure." I urged.

"Are you and Glenn dating?"

Are we a thing? I'm not even too sure myself.

"Why do you ask?" I respond.

"I'm just wondering, I can tell he likes you." He walked away and bumped my shoulder.

I smiled and shook my head, dales the best.

When I got behind the RV, I sat on the bumper and played with my hands.

I finally heard footsteps coming so I stood up.

Glenn rounded the corner and I smiled.

"So what is it?" He crossed his arms and leaned up against the vehicle.

I walked over to him and placed my hands on the sides of his face.

I could feel him smirking through my hands

I placed my lips softly to his and wrapped my arms around his neck.

He wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed back.

"I like this surprise." He whispered, pulling away for only a moment.

I smiled into the kiss and pressed myself up against him.

I could feel Glenn feeling down my sides.

I finally pulled away to breath. "Maybe we should slow down." I offered.

He nodded and looked around, "you should surprise me more often."

I kissed him quickly on the lips again before I started to walk away.

I could feel his footsteps behind me, I stopped abruptly and he almost ran into the back of me.

"What's wrong?" He asked worried.

"I just have to ask you something." I could see him visibly relax.

He nodded for me to continue.

"Are we, you know.. Like uh.. Are we dating?" I finally asked.

"I know it sounds kinda childish, but I couldn't think of another way to put it, so I just thought..." he kissed me quickly to shut me up.

"Yeah, we can be dating."

I smiled at that and then turned back around to walk back to the fire.

I saw Daryl standing by the woods with his arms crossed, he shook his head and rolled his eyes before walking off.

I wonder what his problem is.

I sat down and Glenn sat next to me, he intertwined our fingers and I felt myself smirk.

Carol handed us each a bowl of brown colored mush and a spoon. I wanted to gag and hand it back, but instead I just smiled and thanked her.
