Katie's POV
It was starting to get dark, so we all sat around the fire for warmth.

"We're going to move in the morning, continue on our way to the CDC." Rick explained. The fire lit up his face, he had a look of a leader, I'm definitely glad that he's the one making the big decisions around here.

There was a chorus of head nods and "okays"

We all had just finished our food, and were just talking about anything really.

"Mommy?" I looked down at macy and smiled.

"Yeah baby?" I whispered.

"I'm cold." She told me.

I went to take off my jacket for her out of instinct, but Glenn was already doing that.

"You don't have to do that Glenn." I insisted.

"I know. But I want to." He set his jacket gently on  macys  shoulders and gave her a small smile.

"Thank you Mr.Glenn." She thanked.

"You don't have to call me that. Just call me Glenn." He explained to her.

I took Glenn's hand in mine, but it felt weird.

I mean, holding Glenn's hand felt right, but the atmosphere of it all was off.

I started to look around, and of course I see Nathan staring us down.

That's why.

I rolled my eyes at him and he squinted at me.

Does he really need to act like a child right now?

Macy  stood up and crawled onto my lap, curling only and putting her little head on my shoulder.

A small yawn escaped her lips, so I cuddled her closer to me with one arm.

"You can sit over here if you want Macy, it's probably more.. Appropriate." Nathan spat out, patting the ground next to him.

Did he really think that my little girl would go sit by him instead of me? She's always been a mamas girl.

"No thank you. I just want to be with my mommy." She said quietly and laid her head on my shoulder again, I smiled down at her.

"Whatever." Nathan mumbled, rolling his eyes and crossing his arms.

He can be mad all he wants. I'm more than grateful that he brought Macy back to me, but that doesn't give him an excuse to include himself into her life.

"She's adorable." Lori praised, obviously lightening the mood.

"Thank you." I ran my fingers through macys  long hair as I felt her go limp, finally falling asleep.

"And she looks just like you." Rick stated, putting an arm around his beautiful wife, Carl dozing off next to them.

"Well I hope so.. It would be horrible if he looked like her daddy." I replied, giggling.

Nathan scoffed.

"Well, we have an early day tomorrow, everyone should get some sleep." Rick stood up and helped Lori stand.

"Where do you want me to sleep?" Nathan asked shyly, scratching the back of his neck.

He doesn't have a tent with him? What did they sleep in on the way here?

"Outside." Me and Shane mumbled at the same time.

I looked over at him and smirked.

He chuckled and shook his head, "I'm not kidding, there ain't no room in any other cars or tents."
